A rare clip of a song rarely performed live from the Meadowlands, New Jersey around 1984 followed by an interview with Bono and Edge. Quality isn't perfect but still very watchable...enjoy !

They made a mistake never playing this one again. It is actually a hell of a good live song -- one of their best, I think. Great playing by all three -- back when Adam & Larry were a little busier than they tend to be today. The guitar is classic Edge. And great lyric with very powerful vocal delivery from Mr. Vox.

They won't play it now because he no longer has the voice for, "Such a nice day.....to throw your life away!"......Live, Bono no longer has the undiminished power of that delivery, nor can he hit the notes.

U2's most underrated song. This track (under a higher quality listening format) trucks along like a thunderstorm. Criminally overlooked.

Many thanks for a fantastic upload Hogwash. I remember watching this on Whistle Test & haven't seen it since, in over 30 years. Absolutely spot on when the interviewer asks why do you have these huge crowds, it's not from hit records. I saw U2 at Birmingham NEC on this tour & they (in the UK) were almost still a cult band, playing these 10,000 capacity arena's. That would change the following year with THAT Live Aid performance.....and then it was stadiums.

Bono was best vocally 1983\4\5 Unforgettable Fire album has the best vocals. Those effortless tenor voice is sadly gone now.

Fairly certain this video clip is from their April 12, 1985 show at the Meadowlands, which I attended. It mirrors what I remember. A fantastic concert, the first of 3 nights they played at the venue. One of my favorite U2 songs, one of Edge's best performances, too bad they don't play it live anymore.

I love this atmosphere, despite the image&audio aren't good. The date of this performance is 85/04/12. Wire rocks, pity they didn't play it on JT Tour!

Sometimes I really love videos like this one(audio and video not good), but it's authentic and original! It brings me back to that good old times, I live those moments again! Amazing performance, "Wire" is a jewel!

Great upload. Love this tune. U2 were so fantastic live. A little less so now than back then.

I think this is from 1985. The Edge grew his hair long around this time, prior to the JT.

Hi, seems this was only played live 9 times during 84/85. Be very lucky to find any footage I think....but you never know !

Rare? Not on this tour. They played it every night once the tour got on its feet, and they started to play songs from TUF (gradually introducing them in Australia, then adding more as the tour rolled on). It's rare *now*, yes...but that's another story altogether.

I kind of know what u mean. But no one is the same as they used to be.It's been a long time now.I think they have grown into legends.Back then it was all fresher.Newer even.So yes, they have changed. But havent we all. That said.I miss those days when they felt like my private band in a way..BUT they still rock!!..
