Lyrics:
Don't move
Don't talk out-a time,
Don't think
Don't worry, everything's just fine
Just fine.
Don't grab
Don't clutch
Don't hope for too much
Don't breathe
Don't achieve
Don't grieve without leave.
Don't check, just balance on the fence
Don't answer
Don't ask
Don't try and make sense.
Don't whisper
Don't talk
Don't run if you can walk,
Don't cheat, compete
Don't miss the one beat.
Don't travel by train
Don't eat
Don't spill
Don't piss in the drain
Don't make a will.
Don't fill out any forms
Don't compensate
Don't cover
Don't crawl
Don't come around late
Don't hover at the gate
Don't take it on board
Don't fall on your sword
Just play another chord
If you feel you're getting bored
Don't change your brand
Don't listen to the band
Don't gape
Don't ape
Don't change your shape
Have another grape
Don't plead
Don't bridle
Don't shackle
Don't grind
Don't curve
Don't swerve
Don't lie, die, serve
Don't theorise, realise, polarise
Chance, dance, dismiss, apologise
Don't spy
Don't lie
Don't try
Imply
Detain
Explain
Start again
Don't triumph
Don't coax
Don't cling
Don't hoax
Don't freak
Peak
Don't leak
Don't speak
Don't project
Don't connect
Protect
Don't expect
Suggest
Don't project
Don't connect
Protect
Don't expect
Suggest
Don't struggle
Don't jerk
Don't collar
Don't work
Don't wish
Don't fish
Don't teach
Don't reach
Don't borrow
Don't break
Don't fence
Don't steal
Don't pass
Don't press
Don't try
Don't feel
Don't touch
Don't dive
Don't suffer
Don't rhyme
Don't fantasise

Okay, I know the word "underrated" gets tossed around a lot on the internet these days... but Zooropa really is criminally underrated. Such a brilliant album from end to end, and yet I hardly hear anyone, aside from other U2 fans, say a word about it. It really deserves more love and recognition.

Maybe it’s because this was the one good song on the album? Or maybe because after the breakthrough album that was Achtung Baby, this left us all waiting for A Beautiful Day?
@IVR02

@@weezer1109 See, I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. I think the whole record is consistently good, although I think "The First Time" falls a bit flat. Yes, Achtung Baby was *the* groundbreaking record that saw a total shift in their sound, but... I dunno, I adore Zooropa and think it's a pretty consistently great record. But hey, you're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine, and both are perfectly valid.

This is how my love for U2 started. I was in Caracas at the time when I first heard this song on the radio, the announcer said the title of it is "Sin Sentido" which means "without feeling". So I went to every freaking record store looking for any U2 album that had that title on the song list. But I couldn't find it! So at the last record store left in the city, I came across Zooropa and one of the songs is named Numb and I'm thinking, "That's it, that's got to be it!" The rest of the album was phenomenal and I was wondering who these folks were and I got all their albums. It's amazing it took me that long to discover U2.

@@PaulA-sy1xl But that's the same with the majority of their videos that were filmed on standard video - they've still upscaled all those up to 1080p HD. Their few videos that were filmed on actual film were remastered in 4K but the majority of the others were filmed on video yet still all upscaled up to 1080p ,like I said, so Wild Horses can be too. It hasn't been upscaled at all.

@PaulA-sy1xl 2 жыл бұрын
@@pant-hootingchimp8917 I'm not sure what the story is with the wild Horses video, I worked in the movie biz and with U2 a couple times during their Zootv period as I was also part of the "Even better than the Real Thing" music video that we shot in London and the Zootv outside broadcast over in Dublin. So our video like most of the others was shot on industry standard 90's video but upscaling is a tricky subject when your're up scaling from an original source material which in this case is video as it's a long, long way from HD and you can see from looking closely at the new versions of the "Even better" and now "Numb" videos the overall picture is still slightly soft as unfortunately you can't put in fine detail that never there to start with, even today with best computers and software it still isn't proper HD and can never be because it wasn't originally shot that way, yes it's a vast improvement on how the videos all originally looked but you get to a point with upscaling you find you can go no further and tend to end up below 1080p, either way it definitely looks great and at least now The Doppelgangers are easier to spot in the "Even Better" video now

In our day and age of music a song like this is considered status quo but back in 1993 a lot of people didn't know what to make of Edge's spoken word poetry and sampling in a U2 song. It's how great bands create the new sound and don't just follow what others are doing.
