I hope everybody appreciates the difficulty of writing, recording, and performing music of this quality for over a 30 year period. U2 inspires all who care to be all over the entire globe. Tremendous song!

This is the best song U2 have done. I seriously think that.

When my parents were died, in this year, I remember I listened many times "White as Snow", 'cause I was feeling like a wolf lost in the great forest of the world, without any kind of guide. Nowadays this great song helps me when I think every day about my parents. I'm 20 yo, and with this beautiful song, with this fantastic crazy irish quartet, I find the courage to continue my life. Mom & dad, I miss you. Yes, I found finally the courage to breath with arms out. :-)

no sé qué tiene esta canción, pero la escuchas y de inmediato te hace despertar! "These days are better than that These days are better than that Every day I die again, and again I’m reborn Every day I have to find the courage To walk out into the street With arms out Got a love you can’t defeat Neither down or out There’s nothing you have that I need I can breathe" mi parte favorita... "Somos personas portadoras del sonido, el sonido está en nuestros ojos, llévalas como una corona..."

@slamDunkan No you are not the only one! But i would definitely add Moment of Surrender among the finest moments of this great record. The only flaw is that I find a bit of discontinuity (for the sound, the complexity of the performance, etc...) between the songs written by U2 alone (and Breathe is the best of them) and the ones co-written with Eno&Lanois.

very smooth. this song makes a baby's ass feel like sandpaper. miss the muscle shirts of Bono circa 1997 Pop Mart Tour though. very sheek. 12 years later, my brother matt's still got wood. somewhere in between mr. hewson's ordering of inordinate amount of pizzas at the shows of tet '91, and his boisterous comments of "fuck the revolution" from 3 years prior, my brother can not stop obsessing of the size of bono's tantalizing "member."

I'm not really sure.. but i'm speaking of the general sound in the middle and ending. Maybe he was inspired from kiss me kill me.

The true greats and trailblazers of contemporary music are black Americans, without Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, and RunDMC their would be no rock, blues, jazz, hip-hop. Their is great music from Ireland for sure but lets give credit to the great American originators.
@revolutionday115 жыл бұрын
Definitely a few flat spots in this performance, but it's still a sight to behold. I do think it sounds a bit better when The Edge uses a different guitar (i.e. his 'Tele etc.) on this one, though. The (semi) hollowbody just doesn't cut it for this tune.

Except that Stereophonics are Welsh, Phil Lynott spent his early years in Whalley Range, Manchester and Scott Gorham is American. Oh and Edge and Adam Clayton are technically English. Otherwise spot on.
