Cool. A friend of mine fabricated a 2stroke sub with an air bottle feeding the intake. Only 3 minutes of run time but man it is one hell of a conversation starter at the reservoir.

Attach one of those 12v compressors to the 2 stroke with the motor removed. A pop bottle can handle about 100PSI. Use it to pressurized the pop bottle at the surface and get more run time. When the pressure starts to get low, resurface and re-pressurize.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say those "depth charges" are small bits of frankium or cesium. A chemical reaction occurs between these elements and water when combined, produces an explosion. The reaction is largely dependent on the size of cesium or frankium, the smaller the piece the sooner it "pops".

@emel60 Pure speculation, but if you look at it, the depth charge is leaking air, probably from the fuse. When it went in, no air was trapped inside it, so it sank. But, then the air from the fuse got caught up inside the charge, and it became bouyant, thus it went back up.

@LottoWinner999 unles the hull is metal, just hollow out a rubber slug and fill it with the unstable explosive in the anarchist cook book, it explodes on impact and is easy to make, and relatively safe in small amounts, just dont drop what ever your storeing or making it in.......

@tank12war I would get a few really cheep servos and tap into the motor's power and ground. That should give you +5v 0v and -5v. Then ether build a circuit or use a micro controller for the lights. The µCntrlr. could cycle through patterns, moving to the next each time the stick/button is pushed on the transmitter. This setup would of course require at least one extra RC channel, but you really only need two for the boat. If you make your own wireless system things start to get really complex.

@LottoWinner999 if your useing bullets dont use the slugs or at least use rubber slugs that way the recoil wont cause anyone getting a gunshot wound. also make the turrets seperately controlled, more accuracy but you need an actaul crew.

you could have a charge with a battery detonator. having the contacts on material that will flex under pressure after a certain depth the contacts short and detonate the charge i imagine you could do it with a M80 and some stuff from a rocket kit but making it water tight would need to be some sort of home made stuff.

Combine phosphorus with gunpowder and a sensor to make the mine explode when touched.

watashima1947 or you could get something that explodes or expands fiercely when in contact with water and put it in a semi water tight container and drop that so that when the water leaked into the material would explode causing a depth charge effect.

+Jimmy Diaz Using some sodium in a thin plastic sphere that will break open with a fair jolt and the just add a string and anchor. Sodium reacts violently with water, so it should work fine.
