I have an SVS PB-1000 Pro in my room, and i low-pass filtered it at 30hz, and then increased the subs main volume by 12db from where i normally have it to measure flat, and it makes these explosions so much more physical. i can still hear the 40-60hz area at around regular volume, but then under 35hz it just punches you in the gut. Absolutely love this scene hahaha. especially the second and third explosion at 2:43. Scenes like this really demonstrate the importance of having not just a subwoofer, but one that can play with authority below 30hz.

@@goldmastersimulations Thats just BS, the poles didnt captured an enigma, they simply bought a civil enigma when it was still aviable on the free market. and then they shared everything they knew with France and Britain

Funny that. Before diving underneath the destroyer, they fired on and blew up the radio tower. If you look closely at 0:35, you'll see that it's intact.

I wonder yet what is that sound it sounds at 2:15. It seems something related to the depths. Can someone explain where does it come from??

ASDIC Radar, British used it to detect Subs. It would ping from the destroyer and bounce back...the quicker the bounce back was the closer the Uboat was underneath the Destroyer. Basically a location device. If you haven't seen it before I'd highly recommend watching 'Das Boot'. Probably the best WW2 movie ever made. It follows a German U-boat crew. Very long about 3 hours! But it is still the best. Check KZbin for clips. There's some crazy scenes with ASDIC when they're being hunted.
