Hi, i just saw and read your comment. The first time i heard Dea Li (Dorothy Lapi) cover song "cat walk" i was very septic she was the singer of Heaven and Venus in chains. I listened to some song of Nicole Yarling and i have to say that her voice is very similar to U96 songs heaven and venus in chains. Having someone sing songs in the studio and having someone else pretend they are the artist is common practice. I live in the US was approached to do this project,, paid in USD, signed away my rights because I never thought anything would come of the songs only to discover that this song in particular was a case of copyright infringement and Cindy Lauper is now credited with songwriting. I met the young lady who is a dancer when I returned after the success of this song. She asked me if I was disturbed, I told her I might be if I lived in Hamburg. She also said they she hoped they never ask her to sing live because she cannot sing. This is a story I tell my university students so that they do not go through the same thing I did. I have no reason to make up such a story. I'm sure there are people that do. I'm not one of them. I kept the paperwork where I signed away my rights. Believe what you want, but it is the truth!
