We were dirt poor growing up. My uncles never liked us. My dad died when my wife and I just got married. Things got worse from there with them. My wife and I decided to move away from the toxicity. We're doing fine now. They've been asking us to move back. No thanks. Tbh, how I see it, your uncle loves you bc you're successful only. I say this bc if he truly loves you, he would have taken you in as a baby when he had the convo with your stepdad, knowing you were his bro's son. Funny, how people pretend they are related to you or love you when you become successful.

It's unfortunate that your txiv mov manipulated your other siblings from hating to harming you and that your mom didn't do enough to stop him from manipulating her other children or she didn't disciplined her other children to love/respect you enough. Also, regardless of whether you all are blooded siblings or not, no one by law has any right to damage your business/property. I'm glad you served your step-brother right, and you removed yourself from that clan. Don't be sad about your mom. She is wronged for not telling you your story sooner, but she had a good reason out of fear that you'll leave her, as you mentioned in here. I'm glad your blood uncle took you in. Lets get this one out of the way, "Blood is thicker than water". Yes, it is, about 20% more because our body knows that water is the best way to distribute needed nutrients. So, it mixes what it needs and replenishes our systems - what we call blood. By the way, we are about 80% water, and more importantly, we only exist because of water. So again, what do you think is really more important: blood or water? 🙂 (Of course, the analogy is really not of science but of faith, and it aligns so nicely with Hmong faith, 😉) The story is a very sad story, but so much to learn from. Of all the complications, one that stands out is honesty. There is no use holding truth back. It will only make things harder and darker that festers the soul. When children are at a stage of understanding, tell them - let them know what things really are and peace will follow. But, of course, Honesty is a very "special" for the Hmong. There seems to be a tendency that truth is weakness when it happens to interject or just tangent on personal pride. So, clarity is often left out and some story or analogy is placed. This is a tragedy!, because what is better than understanding the truth; everything else is a just lie or worst a shame. Work on honesty, you'll find that most of us are not artists and repainting things just gets worst, and worst... 😉

Sister Jenny, I understand you are reloading some of your earlier stories, but when you re-upload an old story, it would be nice if you put (Re-Upload) in the title so that those of us that listened to you every day knows it’s an old story. Your late mother was WEAK and that's why you suffered! She should have told you the truth as soon as you turned 18 (legal age to make your own decisions), and considering that your "father" (step-father) never liked or was fair to you, it would have been the best course of action in order to protect you against hateful "relatives"! You may love your late mother, but she did very little to protect you due to her own selfishness!
