This song hits hard because I know in the Hmong community I have seen a lot of relatively young married couples who have lost their spouse. It is a very heartbreaking thing to experience that I'm sure even words cannot describe it. I think this song greatly portrays the love and sadness when a loved one goes on their journey to the afterlife. I have watched this MV 5 times now and I've cried all 5 times. 😅😅😅 I'm gonna stop watching it now before I faint too.

Love the music video and the meaning behind it. Everything about it is so sad. Reminds me of my dad when he passed away two years ago. Before my dad passed away he had asked his best qeej buddy to send him off but on the day of the funeral his buddy was crying and couldn’t do it and had to apologize to my dad. I didn’t understand why he couldn’t do it and why he was apologizing at the funeral until my older sister explained the reasons behind it and it’s exactly how this mv portrayed it. 😢

My grandpa told him that if he did not want to be a Shaman then he has to truly believe in the Christianity ways to keep his guides at bay. He did for the longest time but from time to time they still come visit him tell him they’re still waiting on him to call them home. And yes my dad tends to see more than the usual. He just plays it off cause he doesn’t want to get involved.

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Galatians 2:20 “ I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 3:26-27 “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” 1 Peter 3:21 “And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” WARNINGS!!! Anyone who does not have Jesus Christ will always be condemned and their righteous deeds are like filthy rags. Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”. Isaiah 64:6 “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away”. Do not worship/sacrifice to other gods; you will only bring harm to yourself. Jeremiah 25:6 “and do not go after other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will do you no harm”. Deuteronomy 8:19 “It shall come about if you ever forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish”. 1 Corinthians 10:20 “No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons”. TAKE HEED NOW!!! Jesus Christ wants you to have a personal relationship with him. He cares and loves you more than his own life that he gave it up for you to be saved. Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind; to atoned away all of our sins with his precious life and blood, that we may share in his Kingdom (1 John 2:2 “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world”). Jesus Christ is not about being religious but to be in unity with him and allow him to deliver you from the bondage that this sinful body (flesh) is doomed for; God’s wrath (John 3:36 “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him”). Only through Jesus Christ will you ever get to heaven (John 10:9 “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture”). Seek Jesus Christ only: no other gods can save you from God’s wrath. God’s wrath is not a joke or to be taken lightly (Hebrews 10:31 “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”). Remember he is our Creator and all things are possible with him (Matthew 19:26). It’s either the rapping or his tone that’s too rough to the ears for this kind of song. It would’ve been so deep if they incorporated some metaphors and translation of qeej into lyrics for this song. If you don’t know qeej and it’s meaning try working with an elder who teaches qeej to come up with meaningful lyrics for a loss loved one/spouse. That would’ve gave this song a whole different feel! Overall, not bad.
