Ok so your advice heavily influenced my decision and I decided to go for the Reign 5's. Note this is coming from Nano 8's... The clincher for me was the heel to toe drop (that being even lower that the Nano's), and wow... The difference from 7mm to 2mm is huge! I feel so much more planted to the ground which is what I wanted! Not that the Nano's did a bad job at that, but the difference is almost night and day. The Reign 5's are insanely comfortable too. I have an arched foot and the raised mid-sole is soooo supportive. I don't think this would suit a flat foot but that's just my judgment. As for wear - too early to tell, but so far, superb. As a bonus they look gorgeous in navy blue 😍

I haven't had Nanos in several years. I have the Reign 3s and now have the 5s because I didn't want the drop. UA has done a great job of evolving the shoe. The 5s are much better than the earlier generations.

Actualmente utilizo las reebok hiit tr2 y las reebok nano X2. Las hiit tr2 me gusta la forma de botin pero las siento un poco apretadas pero reactivas. Las nano X2 a veces las siento un poco amplias en soporte. Cualquier recomendacion de otras marcas es bien recibida! Muchas Gracias!

Hey Jake, I do weight lifting 6 times a week. I don’t really lift that heavy. I also do a hiit class and 400m sprints outdoors. I want to find a single shoe for all this. Do you have any recommendations? I’ve been looking at the rad one, nano x3, and Nike free metcon 4.

RAD ONE or Nano X3 won't miss for these contexts, IMO. I'd say go with the option that has colorways/availability for ya! Also, note, RAD do run a tad more narrow.

Great review!) I'm going Women's UA Reign 5 after watching. Could you suggest size please if possible? I'm wearing Metcon 8 (size 8.5 Women's) and it's comfotrable. Reebok nano x3 - size 8.5 Women's a bit large for me, i think 8.0 is the best option with some space in my toe box. Do you think that Women's UA Reign 5 size 8.5 will best option? )) (25 - 25.1 cm heel-to-toe) Thanks a lot :)

I think so, but it's tough to say because foot volume can cause some individuality here!

So I have the Reebok X1s. My big issue initially was that the heal comes up really high and rubs on my Achilles. I like to retire my worn shoes to be yard work shoes but the ball of the foot has worn completely through the tread and the exposed foam underneath is falling apart. Compared to my previous metcons that are still usable even though they’re worn.

Thanks Jake, your videos have been really helpful for me for choose the right shoes for the gym, because I haven't set foot in a gym for many years (two decades approximately), just at the beginning of this year started to workout in the swimming pool first and then in the gym. Because my lack of training initially my feet hurt after the gym sessions also because the shoes I wrongly choose were not the best for me. After that, I discovered your channel and could make good purchases: nano x 2, nano x3 (really love them), nike metcon 9, under amour tribase reign 4... and my life changed... so I can workout happily and my feet don't hurt anymore. I'm really happy to come back to the gym, fortunately working out has been smooth without any injury, I'm very grateful and consider this a little miracle due to my overweight and lack of training so many years. In 8 months I lost 12 kg (24 pounds approximately), and can work out 2-3 hours in a row in the gym without problems. Avoiding feet injuries is so important. Looking for an all around training shoe that will also work well for pickleball. Have specialty squat, deadlift, and running shoes already, so just need an all-arounder for general training and pickleball. Think I have it narrowed down to these two, Nobull court trainer, and Rad One, any suggestions?

Court Trainer for sure! The RAD ONE is sick for pickle, but I ripped my pair the other week going for a dig which hurts considering their price point. Court has held up well for both indoor and outdoor pickling!

I don’t own any wide shoes, however when I had my foot scanned for my ice hockey skates the machine sized me into wides. So lets assume my foot is on the wider side, I find the Reign 4’s to be more than accommodating.

Yeah, wide exists on a spectrum and a lot of folks overlook that. Plus, companies have different definitions of “wide” which further muddles the waters. You play puck!? Played growing up and in college for a year

Just in case you have input for me: UA makes the only athletic shoe that feels like a good fit on my foot. I own a children’s 3, and two pairs of women’s 5.5. My foot measures 4.5 M but low toe volume, narrow heel, long hid foot/ length. I use sneakers for walk king, trails, and I tape the bottom for dance workshops or rough dance surfaces. I’m open to any UA suggestions to meet these needs. TIA!

hi ! the Reign 5 and nano x3 are the same price here in sweden, wich one should i pickup? , im coming from Reebok Speed TR Flexweave wich i think have way to little couchining, as im doing crossfit/hiit to lose weight (im on the heavy side) i feel they dont dampen enough to help my joints/knee's. Running in them made my heels inflamated so i could not run for almost 2 weeks. (400m*5 runs) feet wise i got normal feet size 9/9,5 and not to wide and not to narrow just normal. i do pronounce a little inwards but nothing that is notacible during workouts and got running shoes but feel the speed TR i have are a bit outdated and lacks support. but all my re-search boils down to these models as other models are not avalible in sweden i need help for the final say :D

I think the Nano X3 would be the better option between these two! It will be a little running friendly and its midsole isn’t as dense! Keep me posted. Keen for your thoughts. If these are also no good I have a couple of other ideas!
