I don't know about the 480, but I have the real 200 (close relative to the 224) it sounded nothing alike, the plugins are harder and more direct response. I can really do the Adele kind of vocal reverb easily with it but I imagine with the plugins I need to work quite a bit to make it passable. But then just as an effect of convenience it might do the job.
