They're very loud compared to upper brass but I think their arrangements balance that out for the most part I still miss that full jazzy sound they're known for but hey times change and so does the sound of each band season

That's a lie. Every section is holding it down (uapb's 13 trombones included). Yes the trumpets need some help but they can play their part. I just think that the band is lacking endurance in some sections.

if you're looking for a band that just plays loud and hangover then you're not a musician. It's about Musicality and Playing clean. The volume isn't a problem. But JSU just know how to play loud and thats it. They were out of tune, they had poor releases, their articulation was horrible, and plus one of the trumpets came in early when they played "Father Stretch My hands".
