Mirage-2000 is nicknamed "the F-16 killer" because it shot down Turkish and Pakistani F-16s... Now, it depends on money and French govt will, but... Rafale's avionics/combat systems can be used as drop-in upgrades for the Mirage-2000 making it way more capable than the Gripen-C/D. Gripen is light combat aircraft and therefore has very limited range and payload at the point where, during the Swiss tests, it ended with inferior result compared to Swiss' legacy F-18 Hornet!!!

Russia is already in an economical crash, does not matter how the politicians try to dress it up! Artificial high level GDP based on home production of weapons and then using them yourself doesn't bring in necessary western currency and profit margins. All the sanctions don't help and oil and gas being shunned is a desaster. Even the Russian director of the National Bank acknowledged a inflation of 27% climbing and not being able to exchange roubles for dollars blocks the importation and export of major economy and the additional costs of war and it is clear, Russia is sliding quite quickly in direction of a black hole! Or why does the government again have to hand out FOOD-STAMPS/RATION-CARDS to Russians to get a grip on the critical situation now the people of Russia can feel quite clearly!
