The scenery in your travels are fantastic! The shots are also amazing from your drone is there any chance you could let me know the type of drone you have? Since watching your north 500 and Mull experiences it brings it home how much I’ve missed being out in the beautiful north of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Usually go fishing two or three times a year up north so this pandemic is curtailing my trips 😫 keep up all your trips I love them 😃

We have a DJI Mavic Air and really like it, although the Mavic Air 2 is out now so if buying a new one, we'd opt for that. I've been to Gegorgien in 1983, but that was at organazied tour, and we didn't see all those beautiful places like you do. And apart from the beautiful film, your sound is perfect. So nice to watch.

Thank you Lars! Glad you enjoyed the visuals and the sound. The places we visited in these videos aren't the 'usual' beauty spots of Georgia, but we find them beautiful and glad you do too. Do you remember which places you visited in 1983? It must have been so different then!

What are the chances, with all that space to stop, and you do it right in front of a cow pie? Usually you find out stuff like that by stepping in it. Then again, judging by the landscapes and tarpits it could be dinosaur poop. Not a place where you would have to rake a lot of leaves in the Autumn. Can you imagine how isolated the people in that village are in the winter? Agh.

To be fair, there were A LOT of cow pies 😂 I've seen photos from winter around here and it's quite incredible. The lake is completely frozen over and the local fishermen take to ice fishing instead. If snow completely blocks the high pass to the north, fortunately there is another road connection to the south which is lower in altitude, but the communities here are certainly pretty isolated. Takes some resilience to live here year-round that's for sure.

Thanks! We have been in Georgia since early March 2020, so just before lockdown started here and the borders closed. This video series was shot in October 2020. There have been periods of lockdown, and periods of freer domestic travel allowed over the past months. We're in lockdown here at the moment.

@@sim-sam Wow, sounds like a great adventure! Hope you can still make the trip happen, maybe in 2022. We met lots of people in Mongolia and Central Asia travelling in their own Landrover when we were there in 2018. Such a great way to travel.

Yeah! We've been here since last March. Love it. No mosquitos on this trip thankfully. We had some in the summer in Tbilisi and a bit when hiking, but not too bad.
