Really love this. I made $553 in 14 hours split between two days which were my first two days. Most of that was uber pay and very little tips. Most people don’t have enough to cover the cost of the ride and then tip as well but it still paid well for part time work.

You are not making $140,000. You are grossing $140,000. Deduct the mileage equity lost ( allowance $.67/mile), deduct gasoline as a cash expense ( even though it is accounted for in $.67) Deduct self employment, Federal and State Tax. Still handsome number but probably $70K for 80+ hours per week? Just asking.

Things haven't changed that much since then to be honest. You just have to put in the hours. Noone can complain if they have not consistently maximized the app hours. If you maximize the app hours you will make 6 figures.

I work in Boston and I can tell you everything he is saying used to be true by last year.. and this year the payment came down 30% per trip. Drivers used to do 35/40$ hour; but now it is 25/30$ if you are smart. A lot of drivers started working now here and it is changing now. Anyway.
