Bit of an update on Geary for those who may be interested. Captain Geary would go on to become a member of an SDV (Seal Delivery Vehicle) team with ST4 and deployed several times to the Middle East. He eventually went on to screen for Green Team and passed selection to become an officer within Gold SQN of Seal Team Six. He recently did an interview with Shawn Ryan for those who may be interested in more details about his career in the Seal teams.

@lindapowell1172 жыл бұрын
Jim Powell here. How was it in the 60’s? Well it was interesting. I was in a fighter squadron aboard an aircraft carrier. So, it was busy. Minimum 12 hour days. Flight ops going all the time, either day or night. Ordnance in abundance. Fuel for the aircraft and our ship which was the USS Ranger. We would bring on supplies and that would take, in most cases many hours. I remember one that lasted 18 hours. So, when an air wing comes aboard a ship you have 5,000 sailors on board. So you pretty much eat and sleep. I tell you though, I loved being part of a Carrier battle group. You become very tight with the group in your squadron. You do your job well. You want every plane that is launched, to come back to the ship, so you do your job. Being part of something like that is special, especially in a war time situation.

When u think of the tech these guys have (top notch above everything)...& u later on find out it wasn't goat herders who ratted them out & in fact the bad guys were already on top of them way before (even monitoring the discussion amongst the SEAL's on what to do about the goat herders from atop)... it's seriously hard to believe that the tech just failed...I believe these guys were given up by our own wicked command maybe or by some other means... but they were given up....if the crooked & corrupt NSA/CIA/FBI could scare everyone about "terrorist chatter in the Hindu Kush cave systems" they were monitoring thousands of miles away, then how the hell does a well funded SEAL team's comms decide to make the #2 when in dire straits.... LEFTIST-NWO that's how....same with how most the guys on the "bin laden" raid were taken out by an RPG of all things...."cuz that wasn't bin laden"... I'll take Mark Owen's (alias) account if it btw..."it didn't look like bin laden, but didn't matter."

Thanks bro. I’ve been waiting on this video, and I was like a kid on Christmas when I saw you posted it up. Also, hope you like “Generation Kill” audiobook. That was my deployment to Iraq for the initial Invasion, but diff unit.. Doing a video series on 1st Recon Battalion (Gen Kill), would be much more streamlined, considering it was an Active Marine Corps Victor Unit, as opposed to a Class at a Schoolhouse. I can help you find sources as well, as some are fairly public figures. If you have a chance, you should also watch the HBO Miniseries on Generation Kill. It’s solid, and stars several actual members of the Unit, during the Iraq War.
