The SEAL candidate that Instructor Patstone was driving behind on the beach was my Company Commander, MAJ Green. We served together in the 425th CA BN (Reserve Unit). One drill weekend the topic of of BUD/s came up and he told me that he had attempted but didn’t complete BUD/s and was even in a documentary about it, Class 234. I didn’t believe him until I rewatched the documentary and saw that it was indeed him being told by the infamous Instructor Patstone to “Hurry up don’t fall back, hurry up catch the pack.”

I understand some of these guys and the lady may have passed or been critically injured, but they will always live on in that documentary. I personally think it should be entered into Smithsonian records and every single person should watch it because it's more than just a documentary about trying to become a SEAL. From the instructors to the students, it made such a big positive impact on my life, even though I've never been in the service. A while ago, I worked as a security guard at a concert venue. Slayer was playing, and I was on crowd control right in front of Gary Holt. I noticed a frog with a hat on with a cigar in his mouth as a tattoo on someone’s calf. I said “sir there seems to be a problem, I was told to not let any frogmen into this area!” He responded: “Once upon a time, I was a frogman!” He told me he graduated with class 235, if I remember correctly. and looked a bit like Lively. I never asked his name, but this was in Chicago. He told me some pretty legit stuff, how he worked with leg and carr, and was on SEAL Team 7. When the intermissions happened, he came up to talk to me about his time in the SEAL teams. I’ve met some questionable stolen valor SEALs, but this guy was legit. I was- still am training to be like him. After Slayer ended, he found me in the crowd shoveling people out, tapped me on the shoulder and said “good luck, i hope to see you make it one day” Once upon a time, hopefully…

I'll try to recreate my comments. Justin Legg doing any type of marathon on double lung implants is legendary. It's that type of mental toughness that elevates normal men into SEALs, so not really surprising. Instr. @@buzzlightyear5515 Jeez...Mt McKinley had been known as Denali for hundreds of years by the local Koyukon people of the region. Even locals still referred to it as "Denali" in the '90s (when I lived there) after the US government changed the name in 1917 to Mckinley after an 1896 prospector suggested the name change to honor presidential candidate William McKinley. The US Dept of Interior made the change back to Denali in 2015 (supported by President Obama). Man, what an outrage! Giving indigenous people back something that we (yet again) took from them. THANKS OBAMA! Now, maybe we should give back the Black Hills that we stole from them to build Mt Rushmore. Even though it was granted to them in a land treaty.
