About meditation is you don't have to believe. Doing it is experiencing it and experiencing it is the point. The success and benefits are apparent and evolve quickly. All you can do is meditate twice a day for at least a week or more, for 10-15 minutes and find out for yourself!

I like that 'diving within' - without manipulation, create and discover... Everyone can do this - from ancient times it has been called 'prayer', and it links mind with infinite creativity. This is positive, well known and tried. Consciousness is everywhere.

This is one of the best forums on TM. With creative leader David, physics expert Dr. John Hagelin and brain research scientist Dr. Fred Travis. The humor with clear information via analogies and metaphors by all three experts is engaging and current. As Bob Roth says at the onset, it is an exceptional event. For all who hear and understand an amazing tool for healing and well being. Thank you to all of the world leadership!

I love this very intimate and candid exchange from David to his audience.It is really refreshing to hear someone excited about the subtle world we swim in as he describes his connection to the unified field. His exhuberance for life, delving into the self to find core happiness/ultimately world peace. Translate your own inner knowingness into a full and abundant creative unfolding moment by moment. Splash into your bliss. ☮Peace

TM is based on Tibetan Buddhist & Hindu meditation techniques, stripped of any "religious" aspects. Chanting, visualization, breath focus. It's excellent and successful whichever approach you take. In fact, ten minutes of meditation can change your moment, mood and entire day.

The clear explanations and analogies by David, Dr. Fred Travis and Dr. John Hagelin about TM, the creativity in filming process, the impact on brain coherence and the physics of the benefits of TM are easily grasped by any person. I learned TM when I was a young student and it was an investment. I have benefitted over and over again in healing and consciousness and other arenas, and I have not regretted the investment. The honest and genuine questions by the audience and replies with explanations by David is very insightful. The three experts in creativity, physics and brain functioning who give humorous analogies, visual demonstrations and personal experience is heartfelt. The TM leadership is solid, and highly educated. Thank you for making this video available to the public. And understanding, from different angles, and working together to communicate to a variety of people about the benefits of TM and especially the benefits of TM group practice.

The course fees are quite reasonable in my experience. The benefits are great -- and they grow with time. The course fees for students now are less and also one can arrange to pay over time. The David Lynch Foundation has done remarkable things to remove stress and problems of at-risk kids, women in Africa, vets with PTSD, the homeless, etc. Take a look at his website--I found it extremely reassuring that so many people are donating, and so many people are benefiting.

There are various meditation techniques, and some of them are taught FOR FREE, like Vipassana. I've attended two courses and found it great. Look for infos on the Web and you'll find more. Inner freedom is for all, like sunlight, and not just for those who've got money!

whatever TM costs these days is more than worth it. they teach it one on one and make sure that it's done right. If it's done right it's priceless. being so jaded will never lead you to choose wisely. you'll always feel that someone's always ripping you off.

@@larryprimeau7738 As I said, alternatives like Vipassana deliver quality results and don't cost anything. They're based on fully voluntary donations by people who tried the technique and are so satisfied with the results, that they're happy to offer the same chance to other people. Not jaded at all; it's just how things are.

I just want to say that I agree with the outrage about the cost. Meditation should be free to all. I started doing meditation, just clearing my mind not using a mantra. But if you search for so ham and click on the video "so ham mantra" with the blue eye. That one really kicked it off for me. I reached that ocean of pure consciousness. It was truly a beautiful experience it brought me to tears, I felt so happy. Breathing and good posture are essential. Hope this helps

The investment in the TM practice is like investing in any market product, only better. There is absolutely no guarantee with most investments of results. Even when you purchase a house, a vehicle, clothes, etc, the product wears out and you have to purchase again, or repair. Not so with TM. You have all you need and it doesn't wear down or need replacement! It heals you, your mind, your body and you are uplifted. You can still after decades, obtain a practice checking at no charge! There are very few organizations which offer any revisit service at no charge. Teachers need to be paid. They are paid once, and have no trails (residual income) when they lecture or conduct a practice checking. As an example, most never revisit your medical provider, attorney or investment advisor with no charge... let alone mechanic, etc. But TM teachers are available. It's always good to have dialog regarding questions and objections. I am telling you as someone who invested, the rest dividends if you will, don't stop! They accumulate! I hope in some way I have given some insight, and you have made the investment in a mantra.

check out 45:23, interesting camera shake occurrence "happens" as David Lynch discusses (sound) VIBRATION (shake = vibration) as it relates to a mantra. Is this, in his words, a "happy accident" (synchronicity), a technical glitch in camera operation, just a random occurrence or intentional action by the camera operator?
@AnnebelBuntOnline
@AnnebelBuntOnline 6 жыл бұрын
Most of the times, when filming such events.The camera is placed on quite a steady tripod (like this one is most likely). The camera does not need an operator yet there is often one person responsible for the camera and he or she will have to stay with it at all times. Maybe this person, or someone else accidentally pushed the camera or pulled a wire, anything could have happened..

Does electron have consciousness ? Molecular biology and molecular evolution Cosmology and cosmic evolution If Universe evolves can electron evolve too? Does evolution of life begin on electron’s level? Origin of life is a result of physical laws that govern Universe. Electron takes important part in this work Question Why does the simplest particle - electron have six formulas: E=h*f, e = +ah*c , e = -ah*c, +E=Mc^2, -E=Mc^2, E= ∞ ? Electron is not as simple as we think

When Lynch talks about 'If you want it, you'll get it.' - regarding the $2,500 cost to learn TM - it was the first time I disagreed with him. The world doesn't work like that: you wouldn't say that if a starving child really wanted to eat, they'd get food.
@GrandmasterofWin
@GrandmasterofWin 4 жыл бұрын
He wasn't speaking to starving children. You have the opportunity, maybe not immediately, but you have the opportunity to get it. The majority of us who would either go to a university lecture or seek out a David Lynch lecture on KZbin have more than enough privilege and opportunity. Don't hide behind starving children.
@corinnegomez5745
@corinnegomez5745 4 жыл бұрын
GrandmasterofWin I totally agree. It’s like when you find people that tell you, if I do it for you, then I have to do it for everyone. That’s BS! It is our limited thinking that makes statements like that. There is so much to embrace here. The lectures are beautifully presented, the speakers are gifted and the message is powerful! We all walk away with something positive. And those that don’t, move on to the next video...

When I learned it years ago, the teachers were idealistic and were passing the money to the organization. Correction: There was one that treated it as a business, he was the most know teacher in my state As for the cost, when you pay for something, you value it and keep at it, to get your money's worth. If something is free, you tend to quit easily. Well, that has been my life experience Speaking for myself, I learned it 20 years ago and still use it. I have no regrets, I got my money's worth.

All those complaining about the cost involved in TM, they do have costs involved just like a church, or a business. I have a series of concerns about TM myself, and would not want to do it. David Lynch did say that if you wanted to try it you could contact him through his foundation and they could find a sponsor for you to check it out. So really you can "try before you buy".

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I discovered meditation.. I have always been shy and after 4 months it has helped me so much more with that than anything else ever has. It's a really wonderful feeling to finally be making progress! The anxiety I used to feel is going away, almost like magic it seems. I didn't do TM but a similar type of meditation that has identical effects, that not too many people know about yet because it is relitively new.. it is called NSR, it costs $47.

You don't need to pay to do transcending meditation:Sit down comfortably anywhere, close your eyes and wait about half a minute, then repeat a word that has no meaning inside your head without rhythm, if you start having thoughts then slowly come back to the meaningless word again. The idea is to have your mind clear of thoughts. Don't move your lips and don't concentrate too hard on the word, don't hold your breath or anything like that. It's supposed to be relaxing. Then when you're finished, stop repeating the word inside your head and wait two minutes, open your eyes and you're done.It's supposed to be done twice a day for twenty minutes each.

Wrong ,you do not repeat the mantra willy nilly or control it, as its automatic, the mantras Tm uses are thousands of years old and are well know for their effects to calm the mind safely to enable one to reach the pure consciousness within or Self,using any old word could have unknown effects or simply not work. Each meditator has their own personal mantra inparted one to one together with the all important technique.There is no other way to learn it. Like any other precious thing you should pay for it,people spend a fortune on expensive booze,drugs,cars, holidays,sports,pastimes, to bring them happiness,but it doesn't work for long, a few days in the sun then back to work to earn more money to do it again next year, you know what I mean,TM brings happiness and energy,creativity,better health,its priceless, one payment ,benefits forever. I have practiced TM for 34 years,it works,worth every penny. I am not connected with the TM Movement either.

I learned it around 15 years ago, before i discussed my financial capacity at the time with my teacher, and i think i paid something like 100 euro's and got around 50 euro's covered by the insurance. I know, times have changed rapidly. But i think $2500 is a lot of money, and if ur low on budget its a huge leap to make. I hope they still willing to look at every individuals financial reach.

"Expanding your consciousness" just means to become wise. This can be done many ways (not just TM). Imagine an ignorant teenager watching the movie The Matrix. That same person may watch that movie again 10 years later and have a whole deeper understanding of the movie. The movie is the same, get an expanded consciousness can see things that the "golf ball sized consciousness (as David put it) can't see/perceive. I hope this helps you understand better. Peace man.

A study accepted in the journal Sleep last month (but not yet published) claims that lucid dreaming should be not be considered a REM dreaming phenomenon but rather a unique state of consciousness (Voss, et al., 2009) This study, conducted at the Neurological Laboratory in Frankfurt, Germany, backs the assertion with physiological data taken with an EEG. lucid dreams are shown to differ from ordinary (REM) dreams by an increased brain frequency in the 40Hz (or GAMMA) range.

We're all here because of a certain interest, not because we all want to spend money. @7amidos No , do not listen to what the comnenters said, they know nothing . To expand your consciousness or your backside of your brain, well, you simply have to focus on the left , right and/or front side of your brain and try to combine those three parts to the back part of your brain. Beginning is the hard part simply try to learn how to begin and in time you will grow more and more powerful. I hope you figure it out!

I think that finding problems is part of growing as a human; but depression, sadness and anxiety are damaging ways of reacting to those problems. In other words, those 3 things are not par of growing as a human, they are painful reactions to problems which keep going on in societies because at schools, and our parents, teach us, with their behaviour, wrong reactions to problems.

Meditation is not an object to be sold. It is within every one. Happiness is not the consequence of Meditation. In fact Meditation is the consequence of Happiness. So if you are happy, it means you are already meditative. By forcing one with Meditation, he will not become happy / compassion. So Meditation and Happiness are intertwined, but the seed is Happiness / compassion. There are infinite techniques of meditation in India. it should be free to all irrespective of their potential to pay.

To those who disagree with concioussness based on lack of scientific proof I really suggest that you keep an open mind. It is very true that keeping your mind too open can lead to negative consequences. Things like people joining cults for example. It is also true that there hasn't been conclusive studies. If concioussness studies were as profitable as war we wouldn't be having this conversation. All this aside I would recommend everyone give it a serious try. It has transformed my life in every area imaginable. There is all kinds of literature about benefits,but one thing they don't regularly study is the experience itself. Life is so much richer. most people lose eight hours a day when they fall asleep. This stuff has caused me to be aware of myself throughout most of night. It's like two lives in a way. I know things like this and inner peace are subjective , but that doesn't make them any less real. Take an hour a way from TV everyday and grow yourself inward. You have nothing to lose since there are some very serious methods that are free. I honestly can't understand why skeptics are so afraid of looking in themselves. It's very sad.

Also a skeptic is usually under the impression it will ruin their rational judgement. Nothing can be further from the truth. The reduction of stress and negative emotions causes my thought to be more clear careful actually. I guarantee that skeptical types would never know in daily life that I practice. It's nothing at all like drugs. You can always tell when someone has had too much acid. This stuff in my experience seems to only improve ones character.

@@adamkadmon2730 I like how you claim to be open minded but then generalize about people who take LSD. Typical hippie.

Tell me why TM is only taught in exchange for money. Why isn't it free, if it's so amazing for human beings and the betterment of humanity?

A tiny magnet can lift a paper clip, even though all of the earth is pulling it in the opposite direction... makes you wonder what the field effect of consciousness is really capable of, all our thoughts are really made of is alternating electro-magnetic currents/fields in the brain, if a tiny magnet can defeat all of earth`s gravity pulling a paper clip in the opposite direction, what are our minds capable of... = )

@jacobromu Did you not see Fred Travis talk about the brain during Transcendental Meditation? He is one of the top cognitive scientists in the world today and his talk was incredibly insightful.

I think Mr. Lynch definitely isn't as promising as he says his technique should make it... especially forgetting and tackling with questions didn't really sound very genuine. But John Hagelin seems like the man.
