You know they work in teams right? It would be a hazard if a doctor stayed up for that long. Not to mention it breaks federal law. They have multiple specialists and surgeons, and other staff who scrub in and out. I live like 20 mins away from this hospital. I always heard bad things about it but this was a miracle!

I lost my very dear young brother in a UC Davis hospital. It was no-one's fault at all; it was an incurable brain tumor. To see this staff again is so beautiful to me. I remember seeing on instagram their aunt posting about them being born as conjoined twins. Seeing their mom talk about the upcoming surgery made me worried and I wished the surgery was successful. I remember over 2 years back learning that the surgery would be very difficult and take 24 hours. But then I saw that they were successfully separated. Whenever their aunt or mom posted them, years later, I’m still in awe of these miracle girls. Although I personally don’t know them, I am very happy the God blessed them and the hands of all the doctors who performed the surgery. Thank you to each and every one of the medical staff in that surgery room! Glory be to Jesus Christ!

Seperation surgeries like these are probably one of the most complex and difficult surgeries out there, especially cranial separation. When I was in high school one of my teachers actually heard back from these famously separated twins who were separated at the side, now adults. The one who wrote back is now less than 5 feet tall as an adult and has to use a catheter, along with other medical problems but she still became a successful pharmacist. The other twin we didn't hear back from but she was the smaller one out of them, and I'm going to assume she has even more health issues than her sister. Sadly, I think there's always going to some kind of repricussion with seperation surgery, even with how far we've come in the medical world. Thats how difficult this kind of stuff is. I hope for the best with these little girls.

I'd never be able to do that kind of work since I don't do very well under pressure, but God bless those surgeons, it must have been a really big moment in their careers when the twins were finally separate. People who do that kind of work are incredible and I really admire them, and I hope to be that perseverant in the future myself. 🙏👼

This surgery is truly a miracle. It’s one thing to be conjoined by the arm or by a liver. It’s another to be conjoined by literally your most vital organs. Anyone conjoined from the neck down is likely to be permanently conjoined. This surgery is truly amazing 🥲
