@10:55 the burning is not due to overpowering the subs, he needs to tune the amp properly, those subs can handle a LOT more 'clean' power, is likely he has the levels and gains turned up to high on the amp, and is pushing the signal into "clipping" or distortion
@kingdonH3ITLA Жыл бұрын
Most of them do that anyways. They get all the gear but have no ideas. Oscilloscopes are cheap but rather do everything by ear.. silly mistakes

It works perfect and I’ve done some of the boys cars after smelling the burnt toast 🔊😂

I'm a sound guy and everyone gets me to set up there sounds and 99% of people have the gain turned up to the max even though it sounds worse! And btw if you need a visual scope to hear things properly you are in the wrong department! All sounds should be tuned by ear not eye! You don't listen to how nice my paint shines do you!!
@kingdonH3ITLA2 ай бұрын
@@Yukanhayt-Mhenow everyone’s has different ears . If you want to go for a distorted piece of shit sound go for it 😂 but most of the boys like me want to have there gear in check for another 10 years without it failing too early. There’s a plethora of info online and KZbin that lets you know “tuning by ear” is the most ancient and unreliable way to tune. Music isn’t just sound, it’s made up of electrical signals to mechanic vibrations to make sound. So if you ignore the basic electrical principles (current, power, ohms and voltage) that come with music reproduction then don’t get into this car audio department homie 💯

There were lots of guys doing it before Jonah started up. The set up some of these guys had was unreal. A guy I knew had a 88 Mitsi V3000 that was filled with 12 inch subs that took up the whole area of back seat from the floor to the roof. He worked at Boom sounds in Ponsonby in the 90s. The sound would vibrate your house. There was also a guy who had a shitbox of a car but the amount of sound that came out via his stereo system, was mind boggling. Think he had 18s in the back seat.

I can appreciate the DJ set up in the boot, playing through a good speaker set up would actually sound good. The problem with this scene is not only is it excessively loud, but it sounds terrible. I get it's a much cheaper way to get attention than a good stereo system, but the general public will never like it. The other problem is a lot of the sirens stolen from schools etc are going onto cars, as people are playing copycat. No hate too people waiting to modify their pride n joy... just understand 90% of people hate the noise sirens makes.
