Coach Dawkins said he needed to really upgrade his talent to compete for a Big 12 title, and HE REALLY DID! He recruited the nation's top defensive center, Moustafa Thiam (6 blocks vs. Texas A&M in his first college game and a sure lottery pick), BIG GUARD Keyshawn Hall is a sure NBA body who put on 2 moves outrageous moves with his 235 lb body, transfers from Memphis, JJ Taylor (the new Magic Johnson can play all 5 positions and took charge in final 2 minutes last night), plus gobs more talent. Dawkins upgraded his coaching staff who converted the team to full court pressing, 3-pt bombing, and stifling, ball-hawking defense. All just coming together as a team, but also very experienced, too. Watch out THIS SEASON!

UCF should send flowers to the Houston Cougars for sucking the soul out of A&M in a charity exhibition last week, thus planting a big 'ol seed of doubt in the Aggies. Meanwhile, in Spokane, you're gonna give a complete pass to Drew for that effort? Blame it all on the players? Who is coaching these guys? Who is preparing them? Who is teaching them to never quit? Who scheduled Gonzaga at home (OK, a mile away from home) with a brand new team of your own festooned with freshmen? Kudos to BU for having the balls to schedule the game, but you gotta question the sense of it considering how this Bears team is going to probably need a lot of time to jell. Anyway, Baylor still has the Natty over Gonzaga, and who wouldn't take that deal?

I didn’t expect Baylor to beat Gonzaga, but Baylor flat out quit in the second half.
