Danell was robbed from the Gold medal... maybe Kohei had a slight more difficulty routine than Danell but based on the dismount... Danell stucked it.

+giocurve I think it could have gone both ways. I do not think Leyva was robbed. And from what I read, neither did Leyva. He admires Uchimura. Uchimura did everything and the kitchen sink in his routine. He did take out the very difficult F rated triple twisting double layout dismount which he nailed at the Japanese Nationals earlier this year(the routine is on YTube...just search for Uchimura 2015 HB). Leyva did a great job. He was competing with the greatest gymnast in the World and got silver.

+Vette gaddia - Gymnastics has a lot of politics. I am a fan of Kohei.. definitely one of the greatest of all time. But being a fanatic fan of the sports for many years and watching the competitions.. I have witnessed many scoring systems were questionable. Some great performances were underscored and those who did an okay not so great performance got a higher score. I think sometimes coz some judges have favoritism and all other stuff. US Olympic Commentators like Tim Daggett and Elfi Schelegel have said several times during the games about these issues.

giocurve If anything, Uchimura is famous for being underscored. He has a high D score on almost every apparatus. But his execution score never goes above 9.2 no matter what he does. I've seen the judge give E scores above 9.6 to some vaulters with form breaks. But even when Kohei sticks a very difficult V such as the Li Xauopeng, he is not rewarded as much as when some other European or Americans do it. I say that as an American. Take Kohei's PB routine, his form is impeccable, his HS's are better than anyone's including the Chinese and Oleg. But they outscore him every time even when he nails everything with perfect form.

+giocurve Danell actually had a more difficult routine (D score 7.3) while Kohei's D score is 7.1, but Kohei's execution was way better. Danell is less 'clean' - he kept shifting his hands and his legs were bent and separated at times.

scooled 4 You know, I noticed that with regards toward Uchimura and Leyva's D scores. How did Leyva get a D score of 7.3 while Uchimura only got a 7.1? Uchimura had a CASSINA! That alone is G rated. All his other release skills(besides his opening pike Kovacs) are connected while Leyva's are not. So Leyva got his extra bonuses from elsewhere. But I did see a few HS's from Uchimura that are clearly not on top and a few bend forearm issues.
