i was a driver at Norwood Junction 1966 to 1974 .it would have been nice to have the name of the stations as you pass them.Otherwise a very good film.

Joe King class 33? Not sure there was one on this video. Video was shot circa 2003 from memory.

Class 33 diesel locomotives. Always did this run in the rush hour in the 70's, but I don't know when they stopped.

I just discovered the answer, it was 11th May 1984. 33107 from London to Uckfield. Whether it was from Victoria or London Bridge I don't know.

Yes. Although from Hurst green you take a left then there is no 3rd rail. ie diesel only.

Mind you, other than the class 73s, there weren't (m)any electro-diesel/multi-mode options until quite recently! Maybe soon there will be one introduced that's capable of third rail/self powered operation which can replace the 171s (and not get shaved on tunnel walls, thank you modified 319s...)
