​@@elizabritton4039 They don't make money. Some of them get full ride scholarships. Very few Elite level gymnasts will ever make money at it. For Example: Jordan Weiber, who is the assistant volunteer coach, was a member of the 2012 gold medal winning USA Olympic gymnastics team. One of her dreams was to be a part of a college gymnastics team and compete. She accepted endorsements (went professional) and forfeited her eligibility to be able to compete at the college level. So she ended up coming to UCLA and being a Team Manager to start. Simone Biles and Laurie Hernandez went professional also, Simone had her heart set on UCLA, but she is focused on the 2020 Olympics. Kyla Ross and Madison Kocian, who are on the UCLA Team are gold medal winning Olympians and they qualify to compete NCAA because they never accepted money for endorsements. I'm assuming they got full ride scholarships. Only a handful of Elite gymnasts (Olympic hopefuls) even get endorsement offers. For a female gymnast, there is a very limited window of opportunity to be able to make money from your sport. Unlike other sports, female gymnasts peak between the ages of 16 to 22 (don't quote me on exact age.). I hope this answers your question.

Katelyn's viral video got me here...and with the coach's last year and myself knowing 0 of college gymnastics; it seems funner to watch than the Olympics. The girls just want to do their best and have fun and with a coach like her....I shed a tear. Good luck ladies!!! I am rooting for you from Chicago in the city! I’m a gymnast level 5. I had never seen my future self in elite or an Olympic team. I have had many doubts and loose confidence in myself. My favorite quote is “Do you want it? Then go get it!” I tell myself this before every competition. Before every practice. Before every skill. Thank you UCLA for inspiring me and giving me the confidence I never expected to have.

Amazing work! I love it! UCLA represents the new generation of gymnasts, and wow are they amazing! These women are at the forefront of American gymnastics. They are so inspiring.
