Hi Peng, I'm the crazy lady :) who asked you to take a pic with me outside of the McKale Center in Tucson, so thank you for that! I told you that you were my hero, and I want to briefly tell you why...I have a 7 yr old autistic son who has been intensely challenging recently for various reasons...I watched you on the PAC network for the first time a couple of months ago, and your magnetic happy energy moved me to learn a bit more about your background. Although our situations are completely different, Your positive attitude after having a couple of Olympic dreams dashed, and your continued zest for life helped and inspired me to carry on, not just enduring, but really trying to enjoy my challenge. Maybe because I love to sing and play the guitar too (and am also a former gymnast), I don't know, but your example has recently carried me through some challenging times...You are so special. I love your perception on the fact that it's all about your character and your personality, not on what you do or what you've done. So thank you for being you! I'm sure you will do well in and enjoy whatever future endeavors you decide to pursue!

I cried at work watching this and I'm a armed body guard. Was amazing watching you girls thru the years . I live in Arkansas but I fell in love with your girls joy and always being yourself, funny , full of life. I hope all of you are doing great and keeping in touch. Life is short and so glad you didn't let one moment slip away.

I love what you said about this team being special because that's exactly how I felt after seeing the 2018 bruin team from Europe... You all look super close, caring and genuinely happy for everyone in the team. I was wondering if it has something to do with the fact that some members stayed in ( you, Hallie, Jordyn), and became naturally role models for the others... ( also, I really felt this year that Bruins are truly a second family, and for a lifetime. I loved recognise Samantha, Angi, Mikaela,Alex and other former Bruin during meets!) Anyway, it's such a joy to watch you all compete and have fun...

Hello Peng! I'm an avid gymnastics fan as well as a die hard Bruin and I just had to share the appreciation that I have for you as a person. I remember watching videos of you posted on KZbin when you were still just a little girl (maybe 12 or 13), but oh so talented. I knew then that you would be something great for the sport of gymnastics. And interestingly, greatness takes on many forms. Obviously, the Olympics are the pinnacle of a gymnast's career, but far more important than any competition is the competitor that continues to strive for greatness, no matter what might stand I their way. YOU, Christine Jennifer Peng-Peng Lee, ARE THAT COMPETITOR! Never before have I seen a gymnast that kept going, despite the struggles you encountered. When your first ACL surgery did not assimilate, you could have easily given up and said that you were done. Instead, you took the hard road of going through a 2nd surgery, recovery and rehabilitation, all for the sake of fulfilling a dream that you and your Bruin sisters all shared. And now, that dream has come to fruition in the most miraculous way. I am ecstatic that you were able to come away from NCAA'S with the team title and an individual title on beam, but to close out your gymnastics career at the top of your game with 2 perfect 10s is remarkable. I am so proud of all that you have gone through in your gymnastics career and even more proud to know that you are going to be remembered as one of the greatest Bruin gymnasts to step foot in Westwood. You will be missed Peng, but we all know that you are destined still for even greater things than even you can imagine. I wish you all the best ❤

Hey Peng, I was just told that I have bilateral spondylolysis in my L5 vertebrae. I am a level eight gymnast and I want to know what you did for your recovery, and how you coped with the mental aspect of it. I would love your advice on some exercises and other things i can do to get back out and competing. i really look up to you, especially with how much you have been through with your injuries. thank you for being such a great role model, you’re amazing!
