Samuel Vimes Thats a cultural/government oppression. In the Quran, it literally says to NEVER force the religion and/or its obligations upon anyone. Therefore, the government in countries like Afghanistan are NOT following what the Quran says & these people are not considered muslims. There are verses that explain how a person who FORCES religion & obligations upon anyone isn’t muslim in Gods eyes. True muslims have pride in wearing the hijab. I understand that some women in those countries are forced to wear the hijab or the niqab, and in that case, May God help and have mercy on them. Don’t mistake culture & Islam. Islam is the most righteous and the most fair. What people make of it becomes cultural, not Islam. In the Quran, hijab is supposed to empower and that’s how women feel about it in countries like Turkey and most non muslim countries. THEYRE PROUD TO WEAR IT.
