a coaching battle throughout. Akron defense made it hard for UCLA in the paint, with their swarming rushes to the ball. It felt they ran low on gas in the last 2-3 minutes, which allowed UCLA to pull ahead. In the end, UCLA's "tournament experience" won.

UCLA looks awful and the coach did a lousy job figuring out his offense against a matchup zone. The three offensive rebounds given up in the waning seconds is just pure laziness. No one attacks the zone or feed the post players. UCLA makes it easy to guard them.

Bad call by lady ref on the center which made him sit cost Akron the game. That was no foul. He never touched his opponent. So Akron goes home because this female ref makes a terrible call and he had to sit on the pine for his 4th foul. At the time they were up by 7 with 4:23 in the game. And he sat and UCLA made their comeback.
