I have a Hiatal hernia. I had TIF surgery & the Nissen fundoplication on Nov 18th 2021. It is now 4 months since the surgery. Sometimes if I eat pieces that are to big I will throw up. Because of this I had another swallow test. Nothing seems to be blocked & the radiologist said he didnt see any reflux so I wonder why I still have constant burning in my throat. What has been your experience with how long it takes for this burning to go away. I wonder if something else could be the issue? Thank you.

EXCELLENT presentation, great video, thankyou. I am evaluating getting a TIF procedure - I don't want to be on PPIs forever, it's relatively controllable now but it won't always be.

I was diagnosed with hiatal hernia when I complained of chest pain during night. I have been suffering from GERD for twenty years. . I do not have any other health problems. Which is better - TIF or Nissen fundoplication? Can I return to my regular gym activities after three months? Please advise me.

Both procedures are good. If you don’t want scars on your abdomen, choose TiF!
