@cshepard09 ya football is my favourite sport but I also watch a bit of American football every now and again. I can understand why ye like it. I love football and like all other sports really. I mean I think I could like any sport if I watched it a bit. Its what being a sports lover is all about
@carti87789 ай бұрын
@@eamano8474 i know actually why american people like it. I have researched this a bit over the internet. American sport ( be it NFL or NBA) has always been procedural and statistics based and americans have become habitual to that. LIke for every action done on the field they(an average american) prefer to see a number attached to it and the media drives the same agenda. You must have realised while watching NFL that they show all kinds of stats on the screen after every play. Both american football and basketball have so many statistical parameters to judge a team or a player. Thats why american fans call soccer boring because the score board is low most of the time. Yes, we do that in football too but majority of the fans care about G/A numbers. Nowadays football has also become more stats based like xG, tilt and what not.
@eamano84749 ай бұрын
@@carti8778 not for me. I've seen better quality more exciting nil all games than 3 all games. Even when there wasn't as many chances. Just better quality football and nearly chances can be just as interesting
@carti87789 ай бұрын
@@eamano8474 yes i also watch football but an average american thinks in terms of numbers . Like in our football , if a attacker waste a chance it doesn’t change the score or affects that much. But in american football every play is a substantial add to the final score ( or u must have heard the word touchdown ) . American football is a collection of small small plays which all adds up to score a touchdown ( goal in football) whereas in our football its the final third that will count in the score if the attacker puts the ball in the net. Even i don’t watch American football . One cannot force a sport to a different culture bcz people will always defend their own choice.
