As a UConn alum and fan, I am biased, but Coach Hurley is a college coach. So many college coaches are tempted to see if they can do what they do at the NBA level. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't. I hope to see Coach Hurley on the sidelines in Storrs for many, many years. I went to UConn in the years before Calhoun and Gampel. We were a joke. Because of the efforts of Coach Auriemma and Coach Calhoun we became something. Coach Hurley is continuing that claim to greatness. This is the best UConn men's team I have ever seen. They are a pleasure to watch!

If you take Edey and Klingan off the court and had UCONN face Perdue that way UCONN blows Perdue out. You may very well see a neutralization between the two big guys, and the game is won by who adjusts the best losing their big man. I give UCONN the edge. That being said, I have nothing but respect for NC State and Alabama.

UConn will win because they have an advanced modern offense that’s really hard to guard and the better supporting cast. Klingan might get pushed around though. You never know, if Edey manages to bully him and draw quick fouls they have a chance.

I think he will be an elite backup, a weapon to be deployed against certain matchups. With below 20mpg his transition and foot speed will be maximised and he’ll be able to be aggressive defensively when not worried about fouls.

The NBA is constantly up and down 94 feet and Edey simply cant play at that pace. I think he`ll be a good bench piece in the NBA. He cant bully people with his size like he does in college. A match up against Clingan will give a better idea of if he can stay in the NBA
