Sarah and Azzi celebrations are lethal, i would crumbl if i saw that cool and calm faced sarah after hitting a difficult shot, also azzi's smile after hitting a 3 is also lethal. Would not ever want to see that while playing them.

My Strong highlight was when she grabbed a defensive rebound, dribbled across mid court, and when no one stopped the ball, took it all the way to the rim for a smooth layup. Very few players at her size could make that play.

I love the fact that Strong doesn't celebrate with screams, scowls, chest bumps, etc... She's so calm, cool and efficient.

Can you imagine: 7 mins into the game and Geno sends both KK and Aubrey into the game? Yow! Also, did you notice Morgan's two-move drive for a score early on? Wow. That should have been the featured drive to the rim (or whatever it's called) moment in the SNY broadcast.

So give Georgetown some credit for making adjustments from the 1st time they played. Also props to the freshman who shot the lights out from 3 - I think she made 5 or 6 having made 4 all season. This season KK comes off the bench, next year with Kaitlyn gone she will be the PG starter with maybe Cheli her backup :-) - more likely an incoming freshman. I agree Jana needs more playing time with the 'starters' but remember she is still a freshman, hadn't played in 18 months and coming off an injury. Her 'career' is 1/2 a season. (Also there have been some comments about fouls called in the US that weren't called when playing internationally.) (And don't get me started about how the refs need to show freshmen, particularly UCONN freshmen, who's really in charge, who the fans 'really' come to see.) And glad Q got some playing time at 'home', even though she didn't do particularly well. At least she didn't foul out. Ultimately, a lot of players got some points, and the players you expect to shine on defense did so. On to the Johnnies on the road, and then an improved Seton Hall team at home. I think the Hall game will be a big test.

I kind of wonder if going into the game UConn's plan was to shut Ransom down and force someone else to beat them; for a while there it looked like Hession was going to do just that. She wasn't quite as impactful in the 2nd half so perhaps adjustments were made. Presumably this is what a healthy Fudd looks like, basically similar to "off-ball Bueckers" (as opposed to "PG Bueckers", who we don't see a lot). She'll drive in for layups, or hit pullup jumpers in the lane, or of course rain 3s down on opponents. It'll be interesting to see them both playing and (hopefully) healthy at the same time. I wonder if Fudd can be the 3rd Husky this season to get a Big East Player of the Week designation.

Our perimeter defense has been bothering me all season. Don’t know why it hasn’t been improved even a little. Top teams always shoot above average against us. Trying to figure out whether it’s an effort thing or intentional. KK and Azzi were fun to watch today. The defense even closed down on KK at the perimeter and it brought me joy. I hope she keeps it up

UCONN was crossing under the Georgetown screen instead of on top,,leaving Hessian (who avg 5pts but scored 22) open 3's. THe same thing happened with ND and USC... and it wasn't until the 2nd half it wasn't till they put more energy into their defense and stayed on the top end of Georgetown screens did they lessen the 3's.. something they need to work on ...also between Chen and KK they shut down the point avg leader for the Big East; Ransom.
