Speeding is the ability of the surfer to generate a higher speed than the wave by a succession at an adjusted rate, pressure and relief on the surface of the water.
This definition takes into account the case of the soft wave with slow breaking wave as well as that of the wave with fast breaking wave. Here are in pictures the different techniques to control the speed gain.
