If he was only going along with it to try to get out of the situation, there would have been visual signs of discomfort and he wouldn't have needed to tell her to keep it on the low, as he would've just told his girlfriend what happened. Also the snake joke, he's flirting even after the situation, which he wouldn't have needed or wanted to do if he was simply trying to move past the situation. The phone call was also very shady, if he didn't have ill intentions he wouldn't have profusely lied about there even being a call. He would have just been honest and cleared it up. All of this put together, he definitely did not pass the test. People who have done nothing wrong in this situation wouldn't feel the need to lie.
