UE MEGABLAST VS JBL Charge 4 Sound Test

IM late to the Audiophile convention, But.... UE Megablast hands down. So glad I got one today at a thrift shop for 6 bucks. currently charging up and then we be jamming!

I use to love JBL. Recently they've become TOO focused on bass and the speakers have suffered in over all sound quality. I have both of these speakers. Audio quality is much clearer and tighter on the UE Megablast. Its not that the UE has less bass,, it just sounds more natural and not as Emphasized. In all honesty if your looking for bass your not going to find it in a speaker of this size. The HK onyx 5 has a TON of bass for its size. Its honestly going to be hard to match its bass for size ratio. Libratone zipp mini is another great speaker similar in size to these two as well. The UE megablast has 2 tweeters, 2 drivers and 2 passive woofers. The tweeters add a lot to the sound quality making the audio much sharper and clearer sounding. The main downfall with any 360 deg speaker or multi directional speaker, is outdoors. Outdoors front facing speakers fair best as the audio is focused in the general direction you want it, rather than most of the audio being lost. Indoors 360 deg speakers sound great when they have walls etc to bounce off of. But outdoors atleast front facing speakers are king, but I will say the megablast does fairly well outdoors.

wow dude lol JBL is clearer, has clearer bass and overall better in design...if your listening to the test on a cheap crap pair of headphones or phone speakers then you wont see that....pick up a charge 5 you'll change your mind

@@The_Animal_Man Had my UE Boom 3 for 2 years now and recently picked up the Charge 5. And I gotta say, I'm impressed‼ This speaker sounds Amazing! and the bass hits deep. Design wise is subjective. I like the minimalistic design of UE. The JBL however looks very chunky imo, but looks very pleasing to my eyes. But yeah, interms of sound, the JBL is overall better. I also have the HK Onyx 6 which has really INSANE DEEP BASS‼ I was a UE fan at some point, that's until I laid my hands on much more capable speakers from Harman and JBL.

@@JNunez-bw6sd My Boom 3 sounds hollow and cheap compared to my JBL Charge 5. It lacks deep bass. The UE Megablast is equivalent to the JBL Flip 5. The only good sounding UE Speaker I know is the Hyperboom which is just on par with the JBL Boombox & Boombox 2. But other than that, UE's Boom/Megaboom & Blast lineup are Subpar. JBL is on a higher league.

La have both,I get alot distortion from megablast the sound is louder, and the charge 4 has more sound quality and deep bass no distortion good loud volume charge 4 wins ,

The wonderboom 2 is better then that trash ass megablast and why you have the charge 4 standing up when it's meant to be on its side makes no sense

Tested them in the store and the UE Boom 3 is miles ahead the WonderBoom 2 interms of sound. However the Boom 3 still gets crushed by the Megablast. The Charge 4 can be used on its side and will still sound the same.

Huge bass? LMFAO 🤣 Lemme compare to my Charge 5 and Onyx 6. UE has no bass. Even the flip 4 can beat it. The Hyperboom is the only UE seaker that actually has good bass, but other than that, it still gets crushed by the Partybox 110 and Boombox 2. And to make matters worse for UE, compare the Hyperboom to the PB710 & PB1000. UE stands no chance!

@@jonathanoxlade4252 I use the ue megaboom 1 for riding my bike and it’s perfect for that. With all the wind noises you can hear that higher bass or kickbass of the Ue Speakers much better than the deep bass of JBL speakers. My Ue Megaboom is even better than the charge 5 for riding in my opinion

@Ashwin Verma Dreams only?? More like FACTS. I have always been biased towards UE because that was all I was able to afford. THANK GOD I now have a JBL. No hate to UE but JBL is miles better. The Hyperboom couldn't even compare to the Partybox 110 or Boombox 2. And to make matters worse for UE, the Partybox 710 & PB1000. UE gets Crushed‼ JBL ftw
