Best tutorial of them all. Type in the same result and 5 other stupid videos that did not get me what I got here. Thanks!

Excellent tutorial! However, I've followed it multiple times, but I can't get the stars to show up for the night scene. I've unchecked "Colors Determined by Sun Position," but the star texture still doesn't appear unless the sun is under the horizon. Any ideas?

Jared Bohlken I don't remember needing to change the BP SkySphere blueprint in 4.6 to do this but maybe I did and forgot. Look inside the BP SkySphere blueprint and find the section where there is a little comment saying "If sun height is negative use this value to blend in stars". What this means is that the stars will only show when the sun is below the horizon. You can change that by bypassing the float with the comment in this section and just connecting the output from the ABS node straight to the green value pin on the set scalar parameter node. You need to do this in both tabs of the blueprint (one is called update sun and the other is the construction script). Save and compile and the stars will show up. If that is too complex for you at this stage just forgo seeing a moon and position the light below the horizon.

@@bmcostello I know this is almost 4 years later, but the Tutorial SkySphere blueprint has changed, and no longer has this comment or section of code, and so I'm not sure how to get the stars to appear.

@@bmcostello That comment helped a ton, was looking for that function for a while.

Go in your ''Content''. Then at the bottom right there's the ''view option'' and here you activate the ''Engine Content''. Now you go in the ''Engine Content'' and search for ''BP_Sky_Sphere''.
