EDIT: Single Frame Delay glitch seems to have been fixed as of 5.4 Property Access Single Frame Delay Solution: -Change the Alpha value for the BS_N_Lean blend space to any value (even 0.99999) other than 1. Node Locations as of this Tutorial 11: -Locomotion Layer Cycle, Stop, In case anyone is having difficulty finding it, that is the blend space we introduced in Tutorial 9 for Additive Leans.

Do you have a set plan for this series ? Like are you planning to go through things like additive animations, crouching, other stuff like that ?

I don't have a hard set plan, but an additive system similar to ALSv4 is something I want to implement, I'll definitely cover crouching as a part of that system. While the series will technically come to a close at some point, I'll continue to do other animation/ locomotion focused videos along with whatever else I do on the channel, so I'm always open to suggestions.

@@IsaacCode95 early on in the series whenever the walking and jogging gaits were added - just add your "sprint" gait there. Or you could consider the jogging gait your "sprint". Just flip the default gait as I think in these videos the "walk" gait is when you hold right click.

had it all figured out until now with the start anim,,doesnt work the player just moves still in space for 2 or 3 meters and then picks up with the animation...maybe any idea??

I'm having the same issue. The jog start animations will play the first time, but then the character will be stuck in jog cycle pose for a second or two until it switches over to playing the full jogging animation correctly. Update: This was actually resolved with the next step of adding the "Advance Time by Distance Matching" node.

For future readers, another possible explanation for this could have been compressing your animations after having entered them into ABP_LocomotionLayers_Unarmed, which then removes them again, ie no animations listed.

I'm having the issue of start anims not playing but neither of these solutions did anything. It's living in the start state properly but not updating anims. Ran through the tutorial a few times now everything is set right as far as I can tell

Where did the variable come from "PreviousLocomotionDirections"? I didn't see how you created it

You can duplicate the LocomotionDirection variable and name the duplicate PreviousLocomotionDirection. Set PreviosLocomotionDirection to = LocomotionDirection directly before you update LocomotionDirection for the frame. This will save the previous frames value before the current frames update.

The Lyra start walking animations are too fast. Is there a way to match the play rate of the start anim to the Character Movement as you did with Cycle anims?

im having issue with lyra animations, so when my character starts walking it plays the start animation correctly, but i can clearly see when it transitions to normal walk forward, like there is no blend at all, just a "hick jump" where you can clearly see that the feet position changed in 1 frame and it looks super unnatural, any ideas what could be wrong? tried with inirtialization too, same effect, followed the tutorial 1:1 i think and tried to understand :

i minimized the effect by playing with distance treshold value and changing it from 150 to 100 for now
