How would you make a google api mini map in a ui window for when you're traversing? Similar to the map view in google maps, that would be fantastic!

I think if I wait a little longer for the buildings to load we will get a better view.

I used it, but the resolution is very low. Is there any way to improve it? The quality is worse than the actual Google Maps imagery.

There is no solution for this. If you try it with a newer engine version, the plugin may work better.
