That's exactly what Strickland did to Adesanya. He didn't do anything that we haven't seen before. But because the loser is Israel whom you hate, you'll make a bigger deal than what it was. Strickland didn't do anything ground breaking. 1-2 with a teep. That's it. A major part of his victory was Adesanya's insistence on looking for a counter rather than trying to win the fight, especially when it got to the final round.

I relate to Sean as a man who has gone through childhood abuse but respect Dricus as a standup guy being there for those around him. As fighters, Sean is more of a jab boxer from a distance, Dricus closes in and pounds with kill shots. Sean has ground game but doesn't show it so it's impossible to say whose is better. If Dricus charges in and keeps the pound, he could either win by TKO or KO relatively early or gas out by round 3. Sean could keep it a jabbing contest for 5 rounds and win the way he did against Izzy, which would be boring but the best strategy for him. Maybe he has something we didn't see.

I seen in DDPs fights he like to initiate that big shot or takedown off of a bullrush type of explosive movement. Charges you back to the cage and then lands the takedown and or combination with a big shot. Like he did with Whitaker. I dont think Sean lets him do this. Gonna be a good fight but if Sean can weather 1 and 2 i think he starts putting it on DDP. He didnt get rounds the last fight and you cacn overly train for moments just like this. I love Sean but I got to be realistic, I think he is getting way too much over credit for the Izzy fight. Great fight by him, his game plan and Izzy not being able to fight on the back foot definitely suited Seans style. This is such a weird fight, so many things can go so many different ways. As amazing as Sean is defensively, he is only that good for as long as he can keep his distance, and if Dricus manages to suck him into a brawl, it can easily turn into a very short night for Sean. Of course, the longer it goes, the less likely it is to happen, so the first couple of rounds will be absolutely crucial. Can't fucking wait to see how it plays out, haven't been so pumped for a fight in a while.

Dricus throws mass amounts of power shots and one connects like Hardy said or Dricus doesn't connect, he blows his load in the early rounds and Sean takes him to deep waters. yeah but izzy was always a defensive fighter. And only when for the kill when the shots were left open or he had mentally beat his opponents. Sean never allowed for any of that. DDP is a different fight. You can't compare the two. DDP is a wild tornado who can take a hit. Its almost like you need another DDP to fight DDP to predict who will beat DDP. I can't think off the top of my head anyone Sean fought that is so wild and strong...yet effective with the unpredictability of DDP. Sean lost to Alex because he lost a trade war. DDP does the trade war while also being chaotic. Sean is a clean fighter. So is IZZY. Thats why he beat IZZY. No one ever stayed in their form with IZZY. Besides Whitaker. But he still played into Izzy's plans. Sean didnt. I want sean to win I think...But I can't see a fight where sean keeps DDP at a distance. IZZY waited for his chance until it never arrived. Thats why IZZY had so many boring fights. Izzy played into the "you want the belt? Come take it" mindset. Fighters like IZZY don't go out of their way to kick someones butt. He dances along until you screw up. I just don't see DDP game planning that. He is going to charge forward and try to destroy...which could be his undoing...but its worked so far.

@@jasonnames I see your point. Sean uses a boxer’s stance that relies on his front foot. He shoulder rolls like a boxer as well but his footwork is shoddy. Alex attacked his legs which made Sean think about it. Unlike Izzy, Alex utilized his superior kickboxing skills to get him. I haven’t followed DDP but the dude is couple of dumbbells short of a bodybuilder. Anybody that’s good with leg kicks will get Sean. It’s MMA not boxing so his legs are vulnerable too. The way he scoot back to avoid leg kicks and raises his knee(left) leaves him open for a lot of things. But we aren’t in the octagon. So easier said than done.

I think people are putting too much weight on Sean’s once in a lifetime performance against Adesanya which was a perfect style Sean could match up with. If you’ve actually watched Sean’s fights over the years he always struggles against big powerful guys that constantly put on the pressure and the fact Sean has been known for being a decisionator and a bit boring for most of his career, I think DDP will just be too big and powerful for Sean and overwhelm him like he’s done everyone else.

DDP's biggest issue is his cardio, He gasses out in like 2-3 rounds. His striking is good and his ground game is good/okay. Looking at the Till fight he looked horrible in rd 2. Sean has a crazy gas tank and has pressure. his weakness would be the ground game but we haven't really seen that other than the Abouse? fight. Personally I think Sean is going to pressure and finish ddp in rounds 4/5 or win a decision.

All the footage I’ve seen of DDP shows him to be susceptible to a leg-heavy attack, which is why he’d struggle against Alex or Izzy, as much as I’d like him to smash Izzy. Yeah idk about that, Sean already said he wasn't doing the ground game with DDP. The only way this happens is if DDP initiates some kind of ground matchup and Sean is forced into the grappling. Even then, we STILL don't know how good Sean is on the mat since he's never proven it outside training and his own words. It's still a decent bet if it isn't too much money down though, but I'd bet on Sean for the win at -115 on top of it or maybe even DDP within 3 rounds. Idk... I don't like to take bets I'm very unsure of, and this match is one of them for sure!

Attack dricus leading leg,hes heavy on top so if you chop him on the legs he might get weirded out on the movement and then you pressure him to the cage,just land significant calf kicks or right bellow the knees,left leg.. thats the entry ooint for sean
