I think it’s crazy you can’t just edit your build the way you want to for an offline fighter. And I think it’s crazy that I fight in my accessories and shirts when I just want to walk out in them. Outside of career mode I can’t get it to just be the basic trunk color of wherever my fighter is from and just basic UFC gloves which is what I want. They added all this stuff to CAF and it still feels like they took a step back

The shark class appeals to me the most as it seems like the most forgiving out of them all due to having solid defensive perks, amazing chin, great cardio, great ground game alongside being decent in the clinch.

By your logic Vanguard would be better because the Shark class is the *offensive/top* jui jitsu style. The Vanguard is literally the most defensive fight style out of them all cuz it revolves around being on your back, *defending* as the bottom fighter

I just rewatched this video and Shark seems wayyyyy more defensive than Vanguard if this vid isn't outdated. The sharks perks seems to resonate with me more than Vanguard does. I prefer Sharks stat distribution too. Shark has 4⭐ takedown defence to Vanguard 3⭐ takedown defence. Shark has 5⭐chin compared to Vanguards 3⭐chin. Shark has 4⭐ footwork compared to the Vanguard 2.5⭐ footwork with both having 5⭐ sub defence. Like I said in my original comment bro, Shark seems to be the most forgiving. Every fight starts off in the stand up and Vanguard at face value looks trash stand up.

Bayliun but you can’t though they limited it to the ridiculous class system. You can’t even use custom moves or anything like that. We have to play in the selected styles. Unless I haven’t found that feature yet.

Only thing that would be better is if those fight styles were left with are just a starting TEMPLATE instead of permanent and non-changable

Should’ve made it so we can use our own actual characters and learn own our moves as we go through online and when you level up you can boost the stats you want and you play people that have had the same level up they just may have spent it on a different area and just have caps so you can’t just 1 punch ko and that you can’t max out every stat cause you’ll have limited level up points so you start as a 1 star fighter and fight other 1 stars and maybe you level up 10 times and get like 1 point per level to add to attributes you want then after 10 level ups your a 2 star fighter etc and learn moves you want to learn and use your own perks etc could’ve just put perks into classes and can only pick 2 from same class so you can’t pick all the op ones they missed out huge here

And to learn moves you’ll have to do it in fights but maybe throw it 40 times and land it 40 times and then you’ve learned it then when you use it and land and get kos etc with it you level that move up as you go on

Like in create a fighter of ufc 3 you can see in depth breakdowns of what the different levels of grappling reversals, transitions, and get ups get you. Damn seems like CAF’s suck. Looking at the ratings they released for actual fighters there are a lot of fighters with 4 and 5 star ratings in all categories it seems. Personally I’d rather they let us do whatever we want with CAF’s but don’t let people use them online in ranked. I kind of liked that I had an overpowered character with a bunch of moves to fight my friends overpowered character with. Plus I really wanted the option to pick my perks.

If you have a Conor McGregor, Cody Garbrandt, Francis Ngannou, that's just going to entice me to take it to the Ground and keep it there. Same as how you're supposed objective would be to keep it on the feet. That's just how matchups work there's nothing you can do to change that, and there's nothing EA can do to change that either.

Bayliun the vast majority of kicking (and frankly punching) power comes from technique. Not sure why someone who spent years learning how to punch properly (boxer) would just magically have super powerful kicks, but that’s to be expected from EA at this point. Maybe their submission offense should be 5 star as well just with level 1/2 subs.

Of course there's a lot of technique, but the power aspect is covered by weight transfer and power generation, which is one part is genetic and one part is learned through boxing. generally, if someone punches hard, they naturally have powerful kicks too.

They could’ve just taken CAF’s out of online just like every other sports game does instead of taking away the ability of making a CAF with realistic stats of the fighter we are trying to make. Now you can’t even make realistic CAF’s to use for offline which sucks considering all the fighters left off the game. Plus we are still limited to only 22 CAF’s and there’s no community download for created fighters. Crazy how Fight Night Champion is a decade older and still a superior game. Good luck creating a prime Fedor or a Calvin Kattar with all these limitations.

Grant just imagine how far advanced the UFC Undisputed series would be right now if THQ was still around. Gameplay and game modes were far better than what we have now with EA. EA have realized they failed to make a good legitimate mma sim game and have moved more towards a arcade/online competition game for more casual gamers. All the new features they put into this game was to attract a online competition fan base like fortnite. “Yeah we didn’t have time to build a Calvin Kattar character model but here’s animal heads, gold chains, and pre fight taunts”. Like i know you can pick from UFC fighters their stances and stuff, but i dont know if you can select like " karate stance" and things like that. They both grapplers but Dominator is more position/submission based (better at grappling), and Smasher is more inclined to land more accurate strikes. Think of ground & pound tko (Smasher) vs being mauled Khabib style and choked out (Dominator)
