Damn. Burkman,, Kendall, and Hamill were the new breed. So much potential. Now they're all done.

Well it's not an easy sport bro ,watching these old UFC All Acess's,Countdown's & Prime time specials you see how much training has changed over time in MMA,some of the oldschool methods worked wonders,if anything fighters back then had greater consistency in their work ethic, nowadays too many guys neglect things for the sake of their vanity, they become specialists & MMA just turns into a mid level boxing match in small gloves, nobody is a really good wrestler, submission artist or able to go everywhere except a few exceptional fighters at the very very top.

@@CamDempsey-lq1nr The fight game constantly changes, and at the time they were fighting they were primarily fighters first and an athlete second. Nowadays it's become the opposite, but MMA (and combat sports in general) in the 2000's was a completely different landscape.

@lunyxbeats I agree with your point but I feel like this older era actually had better athletes,in terms of work ethic & consistency, if you mean athlete as in behaves like a spoiled whiny superstar yes I agree ,if anything I'd say most of the modern guys are more obsessed with being stars rather than fighters or athletes

@Who_dey Gotwins saw some of his old press conferences and stuff a few weeks ago, and his trash talk was pretty damn good. Tito actually blew my mind with how clever some of the shot he took was

I know this comment is old but you're right as fan of mma since has far back as the 90s tito was biggest star in the sport for a little while and Although he has always been full of himself he could speak a lot clearer back then compared to the shit coming out of his mouth in recent years. I think its because back then he was just being himself now when he talks he over thinks shit so that he can come off smarter and it comes out the complete opposite lol

When this dude was at his best, he was almost unstoppable. Then Chuck came into the limelight, and basically ended Tito's career as a champion with his insane power, and style. Chuck was tailor made by God to destroy Tito Ortiz. That doesn't change the fact that Tito is an OG legend of the sport of mma. In his prime, he would have given anyone a run for their money, if not completely destroy them with his physicality, and ground game. Post-2004 Tito began to decline, and the injuries started getting to him. He would turn back the clocks, and have a great round or two, and then stagnate in the octagon. When he was in his prime, he was explosive, relentless, and a physical specimen for anyone who had to go against him. He also beat a lot of excellent fighters, and came close to beating a few more later in his career despite being far from his best. Tito deserved to get memed to death, but he also deserves to be highly respected as an athlete, fighter, father, and man. For all of the crap we give him, and all of Tito's pettiness, he really is a good guy at heart. He just gets in his own way sometimes.

Did Tito just regress neurologically as he grows old? This version of Tito is not the wordsmith meme that he has become currently.

Everyone becomes a dad, and husband. We start out young, dumb, and full of cum, and then we start to mature until the younger generations no longer see us as being cool. That's when male patterned baldness, hemorrhoids, and erectile disfunction kick in, and eventually take a part of your soul. It's nature preparing a man for his inevitable death. Of course, Tito is going to outlive his children, so he might be the exception to that rule.
