She already knew mike... Dana White is good friends with Mike and he meets most of the big fighters at the events he attends. He is always chatting up with fighters and keeping their spirtis high backstage. He's also a pretty big fan of Ronda, which is quite apparent in this video..

Again,she could have shaked his hand.It takes 3 seconds and make her look humble and nice.To be rude makes noone look good even if your name is Ronda.I should have said the same thing about Elvis Presley if he was alive.Fame and fortune dosent make it ok to be rude.

Haha i dont know.Well if somebody gets invited to a show or a party its mainly the invited that begins shaking the hand to show respect.It has nothing to do if you are a man or woman its just good manners.The fact is she huged the hostes and ignore Tyson and that was just strange in my opinion.

Read mikes autobiography from the way he tells his story you could tell his mum didnt seem affectionate to him as she saw that he had no hope and thought he would die young even when mike won the junior olympics she told him he wasnt humble i think mike just wanted to be loved thats why he always chokes up when he talks about cus cause cus taught him everything when mike says he believes he should act better than he is when entering the ring and that hes a god he choked up because those were cus's words

Listening to Mike Tyson talk his craft vs listening to Rousy talk about her craft is night and day. Mike is passionate, technical and saying stuff any up coming fighter could find useful. He very giving in his answers and in his support of Rousy.. Rousy is kind of straightforward and kind of self orientated. She's young though. At first I thought she was awkward around Mike or almost disrespectful but then I saw how often she put her head down. She might've actually been nervous and shy around him.

Completely agree I am a fan of hers but am a Mike Tyson fanatic and felt she was disrespectful this man was a God in the ring and indulged her to the fullest. But then again it might have been awkward for her because the male interviewing the two fighters was mostly talking to Mike about Ronda and comparing a male champion 215lbs to a female 135lbs one known for the destruction of his opponents thee other for submitting them in dominant fashion hope she try to learn what she can from him.

@Saleaf96
@Saleaf96 9 жыл бұрын
James Cage When they say "evolved" they don't mean literal evolution of humans. They mean that new techniques for training and competition have been introduced. People come up with new and better ways to do things all the time. The modern athletes are able to take advantage of these new techniques that can help the most talented and determined preform at a higher level than they would have in the past. As for Crosby, fuck him, he's a bitch. However, you can't compare current, offensive NHL players to those of the past by simply looking at their amount of goals. Why? Because goal-tending and defense are so much better now, and that's not opinion, that's fact. Don't believe me? Look at the average Goals per game and GAA for seasons starting in the 1970's to now. Here's the link, www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/stats.html .

Those reporters just didn't seem to understand Tyson and Rousey. A good fighter enters the ring with a clear head. They are thinking of what moves they will use and how they will beat their opponent. The mind of a champ is completely different.

I think she was extremely disrespectful and show a great lack of sportsmanship and fair play. She simply did not acknowledge the champ. Mr Tyson deserves all the respect. She owes the show and Mr Tyson an apology for her cocky behavior and attitude, ironically she has not even accomplished 1/10 of what Mr Tyson did as a champ and around the world.

hjoseph777 You taking this line is kind of ridiculous to be blunt. Go back and look how Tyson acted when he was the Champ and was getting interviewed. He always had that cockiness to him and he was blunt & honest but above all the very best at the top of the mountain of his sport for years but now because it's the 1st female do to it in a physical sport you want to say she's cocky & disrespectful lol. She is down right fucking dominate is her sport like a Tyson, Tiger Woods & Michael Jordan and is compared to Tyson because of the dominance in the relative same sport and relatively the same attitude when at the top. Not only is she crazy dominant but crazy smart if you research her she clearly has an edge in the mental category. I think it's ridiculous some of you guys try to take this line about her being disrespectful. 1st of all this isn't female soccer or female basketball or female hockey this is the fucking UFC ultimate badass competition period so you expect the biggest badass woman on the earth who literally fights for a living to come on shows and state things that aren't true and act like a girly girl? She literally only states facts and none of you would have any idea what kind of mental attitude you must have to stay on top of the UFC for years (last time some one was this dominant in boxing/ufc sport was Mike Tyson) and continue to knock down each challenger. Mike Tyson doesn't act like that now because he no longer needs that edge or have to continuously keep that mental edge (you cant keep that edge by fighting scared inside or outside the cage). And one last thing what the hell did she do that is so disrespectful????? She has praised Tyson plenty of times in the past and for the guys who think that was the 1st time they spoke are just ignorant. I'm sure they talked back stage or have already before but regardless you guys think that she is suppose to kiss his ass lol remember he WAS the Champ in his prime but Rousey IS the Champ in her prime right now. She works harder than anyone I have seen, she is one of the smartest fighters I have ever seen inside & outside the ring (that is one reason she is very marketable), she has perfected Judo and most of all just watch all her fights she is the most dominant fighter man or woman I have seen in their respected sport by far including Tyson. And if she keeps winning it will become clearer & clearer. Ask yourself this when is the last time Vegas Odds on a championship fight were -1400 for the champion in a undefeated vs undefeated fight in the undefeated 9-0 challenger's home country of Brazil (like Rocky IV) (which means you only make $1.20 profit off of a $20 bet when Rousey wins)? Never is the answer. Shows what Vegas thinks of Ronda Rousey and her complete dominance in her sport. If she keeps this up for 3 years or more she will be known as the best fighter ever in any sport. Remember she has already beaten guys (some of you might not of known it but watch the fight where she arm bars a guy in the King of the Cage match in 23 seconds on youtube).There is a reason she is loved by the majority of UFC fans and it's simply because she does everything right works her ass off and is the smartest fighter by far and it's not even close. Peace

Mike Tyson is absolutely right about athletes getting better with time because of modern medicine and vitamins, but he forgot to mention that athletes of yester-years were more passionate about their sports. They actually want to win and see their opponents suffer. Athletes these days are all about the fame and money. As long as they get their money, they are content. This was not the mindset athletes had in previous generations.

+Brian Cheng I disagree to an extent. Yes, there always been fighters that like to make their opponenet suffer however this wasn't always the case. There is conclusive evidence that Roman Gladiators _staged_ fights to some extent in order to survive. Not to mention, there were expensive to train & are essentailly a commodity much like fighters of today. And considering sports where concussions & life long injuries are common place I have no issue w/ fighters sharing in the wealth unlike most UFC fighters. And w/ all due respect, if you haven't fought in a combat sport you're opinion about an athelte's passion to win is less than credible.

I respect everyone as a person for being just that, but when you display a poor attitude and respect for yourself only, you really dont deserve anyones gratitude. RR was responding to all questions and statements with the kind of arrogance and disrespect people show if they feel theyre better than the people theyre communicating with!

Ronda is a genius. She insults Mayweather for being a convicted wife beater, than she befriends a convicted rapist, while dating a man who was removed from UFC Meet-and-greets because he beat his wife. Wow. I am in awe of her philosophical consistency. She also talked down to any woman who makes a living off her looks (Arianny Celeste, ring girls and models in general), yet as soon as someone said she's hot, she stripped down for the camera. Ronda is a true role model for young girls, especially when she says "no one has a right to beat me." I hope I have a daughter like Ronda.

Look into Tyson's eyes... what do you think he's thinking? To me, he's got one thing on his mind... the entire time... one thing... ONE. He's applying his knowledge of pigeon breeding to the current situation - i.e. if a big pigeon breeds with another big pigeon, the eggs will be very big... So... if boxer breeds with ufc... the baby will be eating his opponent's children ;)

Both Ronda and Mike Tyson clearly felt shy around each other (to say the least) - all the body language was there......there is some serious intimidating attraction there between the two of them... She comes in can't even look at him, only in a very shy manner to say "hi" to him later, he sort of moves away at some point overwhelmed by his thoughts, then his body tenses as she sits down, then he checks her body out (camera moves away from him as he starts), the way they both lower their heads after looking at each other (1:58), etc Sexual tension is another word for it....

Ronda is dominant and cocky and pushes her way and weight everywhere and usually has her way. She entered and greeted the talk show hosts first and didn't give any respect to Tyson, it was a not even a warm greeting. Tyson was respectful to her in the beginning but he built his dominance step by step, talking bout his times without vitamins and muscle juice making the old times a tougher scenario and then he brought out the intense narcissism claiming himself as the god on the show, Ronda a narcissist herself stuck on to her rowdy bad girl image from the beginning and gradually had to give in to Tyson's overflowing psychological power and dominance. Rowdy Rousey definitely met her match.

Mike is a legend. He has even turned into a bit of a role model in the sense that he's done with "getting into trouble". They didn't deserve to interview him. There is a reason why people are so intimidated by the idea of a 'stone cold killer'. If emotion is not a contributing factor, then there is no limit to what you can achieve. It's a very effective image. I am not a fighter at all, but I can imagine emotion such as ambition, anger, and even joy and other types of motivation serve a great purpose in the preparation of a game or fight. It's important in the training stages of an athletes' life. But in the crucial minutes of a fight, it's no good being impeded by these things. You have to focus on the objective, and attack it head on. I think this is how Mike got to be so great.

Odd, I thought I was going to make an original comment about hold coldly Rousey treated Tyson: first she hugged the two co-hosts first, even though they were farther than Tyson then she doesn't even acknowledge him much less hake Tyson's hand either at the beginning or the end of the show . The idea, as one poster said, that they met before the show doesn't make sense to me. Anyone familiar with promotional junkets as Rousey surely must be by now knows you act before the camera. Obviously Kimmel, for example, meets everyone backstage, shakes their hand and so on but when they come on the show itself he greets them as if the backstage greeting never happened. So it's strange. As for another video I saw where Rousey claims she would not eliminate possibly beating Mayweather or even Tyson, I think that's absurd. I suspect even Mayweather would knock her out cold for minutes. T he weight difference alone would settle the fight, like like a heavyweight boxer pushing a middleweight around the ring like a ragdoll. I remember as a child when I saw a fearsome welterweight fighter go up a division to fight a middleweight, the middleweight crushed him like a ragdoll . He tumbled to the canvas in less than 30 seconds. Yet before that he had dominated the welterweight division. Same with Bob Foster against Joe Frazier. Rousey against Tyson? Come on!
