I honestly think Bisping deserves a knighthood. He's the godfather of British MMA. The first British fighter to win a UFC belt. His toughness, tenacity, sense of fair play and never-say-die attitude while being the underdog perfectly sums up the qualities that Britain has always been known for. The man is a living legend and the story of his career is worthy of a movie.

A lot of fighters in these situations, wrestlers too, like showing off how strong they are compared to a normal media guy and actually hurting them, Bisping's always a gent a nice to see he didn't apply any pressure at all

I remember the night when Bisping became champ, its hard to say how much of an underdog he really was and to witness him do it in epic fashion by knocking out Luke Rockhold, I think still to this day I have not cheered as loud as I did that night in all my years watching MMA fights! He really was put through the blender in his years fighting, he fought killers and people on performance enhancing drugs. He had some awful injuries and some really low moments so to see him really cap it all off by becoming champ was just amazing! Michael is such a brilliant guy with a lovely family, you just want the best for him.

When he flattened Henry Cejudo out like a god damn double drum roller Dana was like "Well shit, what the fuck do we do now?" and hosted this elaborate tournament of champions just to find him an opponent who could be even somewhat competitive against him, and even that didn't work. The fact that he has more title defenses than Anderson, more finishes than GSP, less hit and runs on pregnant people than Jones, combined with a multitude of other accolades and records, too many to list, is all I need, and it should be all the mma community need to at least include him in that list.
