The astonishing thing about Jones is that he really is just that much of an outlier that he can train suboptimally, so drugs and alcohol, break the rules, and get away with it (in terms of performance and by governing bodies… because he’s the goat). It’s crazy to think about what level Jon Jones would be if his work ethic and adherence to protocol was on the same level as say, a GSP.
