So glad you included those Hendo pics Dana. It so much shows that you are still butthurt you couldn't keep him in UFC and that he's now part of the biggest (and still growing!) challenger for you - StrikeForce. Give them 2-3 years and both organisations will be on about the same level. Fighters will start to see, that UFC is not the only good place to be and that are treated better in SF :)

I kind agree with Lionkrew12. Gomi was a beast back in the day when he was with Pride. Only 1 official loss, the other was later overturned, when he fought there. He does have 2 straight wins now, but they're over relative no-names...atleast hear to US mma fans. But the I fell the UFC lightweight division is relatively soft other than maybe their 5 or 6 top guys. He definitely has the ability to do well.

Well, at age 60, I don't think I will be stepping into the octagon any time soon. Yeah, sports keeps kids busy and out of trouble, but the glorification of violence, calling punches to the face "beautiful" sends the wrong message. If you had been ringside for the Do Ko Kim fight, like I was, your opinion might be different. We all cheered right up to the end.

I am just expressing my opinion, as you are. I respect your opinion. I may be wrong, and my opinion may change. If MMA proves to be an outlet for peoples violent cravings and it teaches kids that fighting is dangerous, then maybe it is better off left in the ring, but today I feel like this is bad for everyone involved and those watching it. Hendo did what he wanted to do to say the UFC does not treat theirs fighters well would be ignorant, the only thing that has anything to do with that is their marketing techniques just because the UFC does a great job does not mean they dont treat fighters well just compare the money. Remember Zuffa's champions are the best in the world period. Other fighters in comparison are Eddie Alvarez, Shinya aoki, Gegard Mousasi, Alistair Overeem, & Fedor Emelianenko

Evans schooled the Brazilian. Rashad had a "gameplan" Thiago did not and it was evident early on that Thiago Silva did not and he looked scared somewhat at the weigh in and last night, I was there rindside. After watching the replay you could see the frustration in rds 1 and 2 by Silva. Like Sugar's fight plan or not it got him the W and that's all that is important, Evans steps up to his competetion and damn he is fast can't wait to see him KO Loudmouth Rampage Jackson. It's the glorification of violence. It sells tickets, the Romans figured that out long ago. But constant glorification of violence makes it acceptable and even mundane. The watchers become indifferent to violence, the fighters pay for it later in life, only the promoters get away free from damage. I will admit that being ringside and watching Do Ko Kim get killed has tainted me. I admire the fighters, they have courage, but not the promoters, they just have greed.
