I think Volk is the best in terms of quality of opponents and on account of beating Jose twice, but Aldo’s crazy longevity make it very close. Regardless, Aldo has some of the slickest boxing and muy thai ever in the UFC and is definitely one of my favourite fighters ever.

I dunno about that. Depends on the criteria we use to determine the goat. It can't be just title defences alone. You gotta look at the level of competition he fought (not the best), longevity too (not great) and the fact that he lost badly to Mcgregor and Holloway (x2) by knockout who some consider to be fw goats as well. I don't think it's ridiculous at all.

Aldo deserved a rematch with Conor immediately. The way they throw rematches Conor's way to protect his "legacy" they could have at least gave Aldo the one. And yes I know the detractors will say that the way Conor put Aldo away meant that Conor definitively won and a rematch was unwarranted but I disagree, Aldo got caught and lost but I believe he had the skills to defeat Conor soundly had they rematched. Then again that's just one mans opinion and I could have been completey wrong, we will never know.

in normal circumstances a long time champion like Aldo definetely deserves a rematch but getting destryed in a few seconds like that kinda make it impossible u know. It didn't even looked like a fight. No opposition or competition whatsoever. It was just like watching a quick execution. I'm sorry but I disagree. The only way he could have gifted a rematch was if he became the champion again and Conor wanted the belt or if he beated all the other contenders and Conor had to defend the belt against somebody.
