I really wish we would go back to a more play by play commentary style, like when the commentary just focused on what was actually happening in the fight, Felder does it well but most of the other commentators just focus on flexing how much they know about the fighter and what the fighters style is and get into minute long conversations about height and backstory, meanwhile a guy is landing spinning kicks and hard leg kicks and punches. Commentators care more about how smart they sound rather than calling the fight. Then just over exaggerate a reaction to a finish for the cage side cameras.

Announcers are playing up one guy's talents but he could basically rag doll the other guy and let his punches bounce off. No wonder he looks so fantastic. Not good for the sport, viewing, (or more importantly, for the health of the athletes involved). An instance where more regulation at the state level would be beneficial, and it is rare that I say those words.
