It's crazy to me how he changed his whole style. He was known for jujitsu and his striking was sub par. To his prime where his striking was elite and knocks out Robbie Lawler then goes on late in his career to go 5 rounds with a legend like Anderson silva. I mean talk about evolution of a fighter. To be fair Nick was a very ground oriented fighter at the time because he was a brilliant BJJ artist, by the time he fought Lawler he changed to a more standup style of fighting because he knew that boxers made more money even in m.m.a.

In a way Nick he promoted himself excellent by not showing up for press,not getting in the plane last minute and only his luggage showed up,along with always bringing it on.

Nick is one of the best BJJ technicians in the game but his boxing and stand up has now evolved and is one of best well rounded fighters I've ever seen he's now a fighting machine the guy can hang with anybody and his cardio is second to none

Nicholas Aaron well for me as someone who’s never been trained in it. It looked like the dude reversed Diaz and was going to get a dominant position then in my eyes it looked like Diaz was desperately tryna get back to a better position and I was like “😯” then next thing you know Diaz has his back and then I realized Diaz was calm the whole time and knew what he was doing.

That was when Nick was still cool with people after the fight. He’s so calm and so calculated. Fearless on the ground and in stand up and I think the sport needs him right now. I don’t want his last fight to be the ones we got and I know that’s being selfish.

I remember how after their first fight, Jeremy Jackson was supposed to be the next big thing, but Nick turned that around in a hurry. Nick became a star and Jeremy went to jail. Crazy how things turned out
