Being from the 209, I have always been extremely proud of the Diaz brothers, especially Nate. Dude is an embodiment of the area, from the way he talks, acts, to the way he carries himself. Every time I see him, I get nostalgic of the old days growing up here and all my old buddies.

This season was so wholesome. I felt that the energy was amazing. They were all kinda friends and bonded in a way but also there were quality fights. When you remember some toxic seasons and lemme bang bro for eg. you appreciate these kind. Nate, Gray and Joe became real legends of the sport later, especially Nate💪

Personally I’d say not being afraid to get hit is a benefit thus making them more emotionally stable.the avg person Is definitely no more mentally stable than fighters and couldn’t go through the stress and all the hours of prep fighters do, things that tough only strengthen you mentally. For me boxing and recently Muay Thai has done nothing but strengthen my emotional stability. And if you use Mike Perry as an example you could use all the great minds of fighting such as gsp, stipe, and most of the guys who aren’t top ten are pretty cool dudes just trying to make it in the world.

This season is still the best ever, in terms of both the quality of the fights and the unintentional comedy. The typical jock stupidity of some of the fighters, and their well-deserved punishments is gold, as is the stupid but entertaining drama (Wang, Rudigger, etc), and unlike the over-the-top but sometimes underwhelming coaches challenges of the modern seasons, this ping-pong challenge was fucking intense as shit.

@@gemstar9523 Jones and Sonnen did that super expensive construction equipment challenge and no one cared. In contrast, BJ and Jens had a ping pong challenge and it was fucking intense and people talk about it to this day. The lesson is that it isn't about flash, but being authentic.
