Yep! Prime coner lost to a Nate Diaz that would easily lost to anyone in the top 10 at the time. His fans will milk the excuse that he isn't hungry anymore since Floyd, well guess what? He lost to Nate before Floyd, thrived in FW division where he can hassle smaller fighters and didn't defend the belt.

People think Conor persona and flamboyant ego are what "changed the game" because they only think in terms of money, but how Conor REALLY changed the game was movement. His movement was something no one had ever seen be done successful. At that time guys who moved like that normally just ended up leaping or leaning into head kicks. But conors movement added with his huge arsenal and incorporation of so many different fighting style centered around kapuera was nuts to see work. When he changed to the stiff, standing up straight, boxing style....it was a sad day for the mma world.

ppl that are watching ufc are not mma fans. + there's no mma in reality. You trained this and that. You go in and you throw your hands like everyone else who didn't train that. Under mma you simply mean ppl trying to beat each other under the given rules. Sick of the term. martial art is when you see those displaying a choreography with blades and moves. It means nothing more. Anything else that you may consider as mma is just a bunch of ppl trying to beat each other. There's no art in it. ppl that WATCHED ufc did so because of conor and jones. There's nothing more to it.

@01:52 the act of a man who loves his country, don't ever many fighters call out to their country and their country responds, McGregor in his day was special, experimental, brave, fast, precise, incredible underrated footwork, the power and precision of that nuke attacked to his wrist with those attributes are literal fightenders, he didn't fight many cans either, doesn't even when comes back he goes for the top dogs only, no Pimblett this man, this man had the...whatever that it is, cannot be replicated as much as Dana tries, it will happen that perfect storm but like the ride, and every substance you probably shouldn't ever take, first time, the first time is the best, he'll be remembered alright even if others deserve it more because he did everything truly great in his day and was brave stepping up, 145 his best imo but he went up anyway, Khabib had as hard time, if not worse, than McGregor did getting to 145 and that was a brutal cut but made it and showed up everything, win or lose that man is and was a truly gifted through practice, he was all in here, he's half and half now, make him bankrupt and you'd see him buzzsaw through again, Conor has nothing to win or lose now proffesionally, he loses, call it a day, I think he'll be honest if he loses but I've bet against McGregor a few times and but once been in the green for it, rest red dead, doesn't like going all the rounds but proved with Diaz as 2 was a war, 1 was a beating until he was too tired and was like what's me way out quick, special fighter.

Conor Mcgregor was a beast @145 not many could come close to stopping him when he was grinding for those 2 belts. Ilya Topuria is one fighter that didn’t take long to take the belt in a dominant way. You can see he’s attempting to duplicate the success of Mcgregor in terms of confidence mainly using the power & excitement of the KO/TKO first also has the grappling game to go wherever the fight goes. Its hard to say with the UFC’s current model if anyone will become similarly in terms of popularity, earnings, notoriety, exposure and show stopping performances considering the limited time spent in the octagon. I don’t see anyone that is ahead of the game like Conor was, accept Topuria who seems to be using the playbook. He just needs to stay active and stay relevant in a fight game that actually had a ridiculous of forgetting about Max Holloway after everything he did at Featherweight obliterating Aldo is his backyard. The UFC fan base has grown so big that the younger fans and some older fans have insanely short memories. Look at how sharp both Holloway & Aldo looked in each of their last fights. Don’t right guys off , I only doubt Mcgregor because of the injury, lifestyle/excess as well as inactive which equals the quality’s that made Conor most dangerous which was timing and accuracy.
