their is no reason for this fight to be 5 rounds, just for contender. its absurd to make these guys go through that kind of punishment. This fight took something from both of them. Along with the no restrictions on weight cuts, UFC is kind of out of control. Fighters have to be protected from themselves. As a former fighter im saying this. Dana is a shameless self promoter.

Que tolerancia a los golpes tiene Hooker. Recuerdo cuando peleó con Yair Rodriguez, era muy estático ante los peleadores explosivos, aquí atacó y se defendió muy bien. Sin duda Poirier hizo demostración de todos sus recursos; intercambio golpes, metió codazos, defendió los derribos, grappling, boxeo, el cardio que trae le ayudó hasta el final, 10 de 10!

This fight changed Dan. He had this, the Edson Barboza fight, and Paul Felder, among others but they didn't do as much damage to him, in a span of 2 years. That's 3 wars in that time span then getting KO'd by Chandler, that's rough. It's good to see him climb back up the rankings now though. Dude is way too tough for his own good.

Crowd has its own aspect of fun but man, no crowd noise really adds another piece to enjoying a fight. I dont need to hear a leg kick to know it hurt but you are able to tell when they are throwing volume or to knock heads off just from the sound. Really adds another layer of the brutal reality
