Obviously they already subsidise the costs with higher end cards but they should do it harder but then other boardpartners(MSI, ASUS, ETC) need to also lower their prices but they already are not really profiting that much from their GPUs so they may not want to make those cards and then all the ''burden'' would be on Nvidia/AMD to make those Budget GPUs from which they are not profiting that much. 8GB is mostly fine for this class of GPUs, unless you are willing to play AAA games right at launch. Unoptimzed games may utilize more VRAM then they really need to function stable. So you need to wait for some time, until game devs release a few patches. For example, Horizon FW has already received a few patches, yet it still consumes a bit too much of VRAM. So, unless you are willing to play with Medium quality textures, which look pretty blurry, you had to wait another week or two.

Considering, the GPU, CPU and Mobo idle temps, I doubt 21c is accurate, I would check that out, it's not possible to be that low, even at idle, even when my PC is off in winter here it's 22c and nearly 30c in summer inside my case. My specs if you're wondering, AMD R9 5950x, RTX 4060, AMD X570 Taichi razor edition, Corsair D4000 case, and Noctua cooler.

I stopped listening to the big name "reviewers" that basically call people poor trash if they cannot afford $400+ for a GPU. I've had a RX7600 (the size of that 4060 in your video) for a year now and am happy with it, no problems gaming at 1440 75Hz. I have seen sale prices for the RX7600 drop into the low $200s.

That Hell divers 2 outcome is a little off, AMD just did new drivers and it boosts frame quit a bit, like 20-30fps. I have an RX 6800.

4060 is a good card, but the price for it is a decisive factor. I got a pc at costco with it that came with the latest generation i7 cpu for only $1000, so I think it's a great budget deal if you can get that.

I got mine back in May via a PC clearance sale. My new Gaming PC was marked down by $250 dollars. So I literally got $100 dollars off on my 4060.

As a 4060 user, if you're upgrading from any of the 20, 30 series cards, or at least only getting 5-10% performance boost. The 4060 is not worth it. I came from the 1660S. After upgrading, so many games in my library that I was running on med-high is now running at ultra at 60-70fps plus. With DLSS and FG, you can go for so much more and saves up on your electricity bills. Of course, there's probably better options you can choose from but you gotta factor in if it's available in your area. Otherwise, the shipping cost alone would hurt you if you're on a budget.

@@BaIlincat43 50 series are supposedly launching with 5090/5080 within this year. Nvidia also sneakily planned an event a day before AMD Computex opening keynote which is I'M SUSPECTING they are launching/paper launch 5090/5080 in order to make AMD card look slower. I mean, AMD only seems to launch a card around 7900GRE-7900XT in performance and around 500USD. If Nvidia get the 5090 which is 4090+30-50% and market the hell out of RT, AMD card gonna look slower even if the RDNA4 improvement on RT seem to be good according to leaks. This could the reason why Nvidia is planning an event a day earlier than AMD. Also as of a day or two ago, AMD just updated the GFX with Navi4X which supposed to be around 50% more shader engine. RNDA3 Navi31 has 6 shader engine and the updated GFX for RDNA4 Navi4X say it has 9 shader engine. I'm not saying AMD is launching a high end card that could possibly compete with 5080 or even 5090, but that could also be the reason why Nvidia is rattled and suddenly plan an event a day before computex.

@sc94335 ай бұрын
ill go with the 4060, because nvidia uses compression to reduce VRAM usage while AMD do gulp down ram like nobody's business. 8gb vram on nvidia is not the same as 8gb vram on amd. coupled with less heat, less power draw and smaller form factor overall, 4060 is a no brainer vs the 7600.

well lets mention that lets say at 6:33 the rtx 4060 only got 4 fps more? well lets take a look at the 1% and 0.1% lows, clearly it is a much much more stable card and you will see less stutters as you can see even if the 7600 falls short by 4 fps its stability is quite worse having 10 fps drops between the 4060 to 7600

Except for the fact that the last-gen 3060 Ti still outperforms it and could easily be found for $300 new before Nvidia cut production. When SFF price to performance goes down between gens, you're doing something wrong.
